Lovely restaurant with super fresh and delicious food. Service was friendly and fast. Food quality outstanding and prices reasonable. The whole place was shiny clean. Ample parking and good space between tables. Loved every portion of our food and the wine was cold.
This is one of the best Japanese restaurants around, very high quality and fresh seafood, waghu beef dish very generous (250g) top quality eye fillet. If I was to be picky I'm not a fan of the push button thingy on the table to get the waitresses attention, but that's only minor, still worth 5 stars all day long.

I recently dined at Mairangi Japanese Cuisine and had the pleasure of being served by Hannah. Their service was exceptional! Friendly and Attentive: Hannah was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. They were always there when we needed something, but never intrusive. Hannah was clearly knowledgeable about the menu and was able to answer all of our questions with ease. Service was efficient and professional, ensuring our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. While the food was delicious, it was Hannah's excellent service that truly made our dining experience memorable. I would highly recommend requesting a table in their section. I was so impressed with Hannah's service that I had to ask for their name to include it in this review.
Food was fresh and cooked perfectly. Price-to-plate ratio was balanced. Generous portion of the wagyu eye fillet. Service was efficient and staff were friendly too. Spacious dining environment.

This is a hidden gem in mairangi Bay. A day fantastic Japanese cuisine restaurant. It has everything you could want; sushi at the bar, well priced boxes or lunch or exquisite full meals and multi course meals. Imported Kirin beer is a big plus and everything we had was fantastic. I highly recommend this place for some authentic Japanese!
We visited on Sunday before 1pm for lunch. The restaurant was 50% full. Very professional staff, excellent customer service. We enjoyed the lunch special, Eel Box, Tofu Box, Udon and pork on rice. And those were all yummy.
