Bald Eagle Diner has the best food known to Mission Bay! With their cheesy burgers filled with flavour and their crunchy onion rings. The prices are great! And the drinks were phenomenal, their freak shake was my favorite!”

“Loved that we landed here today for lunch. Food was delicious, only wish we were more hungry, would have chosen off the menu. What we saw coming out of the kitchen was beautifully presented and lots on the plates. The young serving team were sooo confident and welcoming, such a joy to be among. “Probably the best yum cha spot in Auckland! The food quality here is definitely a step above other well-known places. We came for a Saturday brunch with my family and my wife's family, and the place was already busy right from opening at 11am. Every table was full by lunchtime, so I was glad we had made a booking! Ordering was super easy using their QR code system, which showed clear photos of each dish. It was really helpful for choosing what we wanted. We ordered quite a variety, including their popular black truffle dumplings, steamed prawn dumplings, Mr. Lobster deep-fried prawn paste in shredded pastry, deep-fried spicy beans for salad, and a lobster congee to share, along with a few more dishes (not all pictured). Dish highlights: - Black Truffle Dumplings: Absolutely my favourite! There are two versions, and both were rich, fragrant, and full of truffle aroma - a must-try. - Steamed Prawn Dumplings: Fresh, juicy, and perfectly cooked - classic done right. - Deep-Fried Prawn Pastry (Mr. Lobster): Super crispy on the outside and beautifully tender inside. Loved every bite. - Spicy Beans for Salad: Crispy, flavourful, and surprisingly addictive. - Lobster Congee: Smooth, comforting, and generous with lobster - perfect for sharing. Even though the restaurant was packed, the staff were friendly, quick, and attentive. They took the time to answer our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. I have been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. They do yum cha only in lunch time, so it was important to us meeting in lunch time. The only downside is that prices are higher than other yum cha places, but the quality and flavour kinda justify it. Highly recommended, and make sure to book ahead.”

“Hadn't been to La Zeppa for a few years but had a really lovely lunch with a friend last week. The food was superb, service friendly and unobtrusive. For some reason I always think of it more of a bar than a restaurant but will certainly be back for another dining experience. My first time using First Table and it was easy....plus the staff didn't make us feel like we were any less special than any of the other diners.”

“Food is an absolute vibe, I bought the crispy pork bao bun and the pork belly bahn mi, and holy moly they were SENSATIONAL. I only wish they chucked some slices of fresh chilli on there as well but that's just me - I can only assume mainstream tastes prefer it less hot. Anyway, so incredible, especially for a food court store. Hope these guys are available on uber eats - otherwise I've just found my new favourite eating spot at glenfield mall!”

“Excellent taste. Turned away for oily Chinese dishes. Sweet sour fish has many fresh fruits like pineapple, grapes and tomatoes, which make the sourness complex and various. Good appearances and good balance of sweet and sourness. Dry fish and chicken fried rice is definitely top of its kind. Fried rice is not that easy I could taste shrimp oil, salted egg and dry fish which made the rice rich in flavour.”

The owner even took the time to explain the coffee-making process, which was such a thoughtful touch! Definitely worth giving this local gem a try!”

“Was recommended to come here for the Lambs Fry, so I made the trek out to this little cafe and it dosent disappoint. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! The food was homely and very satisfying as well. They have a whole range of food items, hot or cold! Of course there are espresso based drinks, as well as alcoholic if you want a cold brew! There are lovely little tables inside to sit at, or there are tables littered all over the courtyard!”
