Terrible experience. I specifically asked when ordering whether cinnamon was used in the matcha, and the barista said no. However, my oat milk matcha was full of cinnamon. I then asked for a latte instead, clearly specifying oat milk as I am dairy-free. The latte I received was made with cowβs milk and was extremely hot. As a result, I spent my Sunday feeling unwell. This level of inattention to ingredients and dietary requirements is unacceptable.

So disappointing to see how this place has gone downhill from its heyday. Could not believe the service and the attitude of the staff. Besides the poor young girl behind the counter running the coffee and clearing plates and doing everything, there were 2 older servers blatantly ignoring everyone and sitting on their phones and one looked absolutely pissed off to be there. Food was presented nicely but lacked flavour. We honestly thought maybe there had been a death or something because the dismissive and negative behaviour was probably the worst weβve ever experienced. I know you never know what people are going through but the vibes were OFF. Scowling at customers is a bit unnecessary. At least we know why the place was empty.

only popped in for coffee and a snack but was a great experience! got a very delicious spinach feta and sun-dried tomato brioche. the chutney in it wasnβt too sweet and the brioche was nice and soft. the matcha latte wasnβt too flavourful but was nice all the same. will definitely be back to try the menu!

I used to go here often, I LOVE the coffee here. The barista is really good. Also the cabinet food is pretty good. Scones and muffins are tasty. I stopped going here because the owner is always miserable. Like it's a problem if she has to serve you. I always have to ask for butter with my scone and she literally chucks it at me like I've asked for a free meal. Surely butter with a scone is standard right? I once asked for an extra takeaway cup so my kids could share the huge iced chocolate and she was so angry handing it over. I'd just spent about $30 there you'd think an extra cup would be OK? I was going about 3 times a week but now I barely visit. I've tried it again a couple of times over the past few weeks but the owner is still miserable and rude. The barista is still great though, so I'll still pop in on the occasion for great coffee.

Used to love their smashed avo but was very disappointed this week. It didnβt taste the same, was quite bland. We order extra bacon for $6.50 and used to get 4 slices now you only get 2! Thatβs a rip-off.

Good food, with above average prices. Went for breakfast about 25pp. Ordered their big breakfast version, the kid version of it was very similar even though it cost 30% less. Adequate place to go to. Good place to go to if you have dietary preferences. Service was wonderful.

A very chic, fresh eatery on the North Shore, Scout seems to tick all the boxes. The interior is invitingly decked out in contemporary pastel shades and light wood with a sprinkling of greenery throughout. And one cannot ignore the startling number of pretty pink accents from the menus to the table vases. The menu is a cafe-hopperβs delight, classics aplenty along with signature twists to invite exploration, to say nothing to say nothing of the tempting treats in the cabinet which were demolished by the Saturday lunch crowd in the time we dined. My two companions enjoyed brunch from the kitchen while I had a chicken bagel. Their breakfasts were stunningly presented, although a request for no hollandaise seemed to have been forgotten. The bagel was generously filled and just right for the morning. Service was friendly, but not as efficient as it could have been. A lengthy wait for our coffees and we witnessed the waitress having a chat while our drinks stood getting colder. Our second round of drinks we had better luck with. Coffee definitely good enough to enjoy seconds. I tried a matcha latte. Very on-trend and made with coconut milk, a little sweet for my own taste but worth a try. I ventured in for a second visit on the morning of my departure just as they were opening. Again, a lack of efficiency in service but the salmon bruschetta was absolutely stunning. If the youthful staff just recieved a touch more training in service, this would be a 5/5 destination for sure.
