Good place to watch the rugby. Food is generally good but not amazing. Jalapeno poppers are great. Service is average, most of the time I had to call someone to serve us.
Just called in here for a late lunch. Wednesday deal 2 for 1 pizza. Absolutely delish pizzas. Grabbed a Jug of beer too & biggest jugs ever!!! Great friendly young lady at the bar..plus game of pool outside & fantastic music that you can hear & actually get a good vibe going. Highly recommended coming here!!!
Great vibe and delicious food. The deck is still warm on a cold night. The chicken Parma was great and the kids liked their meals. Only criticism was the Mojito was without mint and not good
A great spot to come for a beer or meal, or to watch the footy, or all of the above. Glenn is a great host, and the Northern Union is a great local venue.
The steak is delicious. My son likes it very much. The environment is very good. The staff are very enthusiastic. Try other dishes next time.
Northern Union is about as close as you can get to a British pub in that, unlike most NZ pubs that only cater to one demographic, The Northern Union has people from all walks of society, from tradies, professionals, families and pensioners. It achieves this, (I feel) by having the best service and by bending over backwards to be accomodating to their customers.
Food was alright. Went through to get aome Lunch with the family but the service was not that great looks like they were in too rush when it wasn't even busy. Staff Service needs work need to know how to take orders properly n have smile please.
Nice atmosphere but some of the food needs work. A lot of work. I do realise the pizzas are good though. Its an open kitchen so you can see everything. The chef was eating with one hand and preparing food with another. The Nachos were absolutely terrible. The paper they were served on top of devolved and by the time we realized we probably ate some of it which is disgusting. There is a lot of positive in the Northern Union Pub but guys we need to do better.
