“Fantastic Thai restaurant we stumbled upon as we were early for an event. The servings were generous, with perhaps a little too much meat (or so my fiance thought, though I thought it was perfect). They actually listened to us when we asked for it to be hot, as too often I get served "European hot" which is mild at best. The prices were also very low. Despite being 20 minutes drive from home, this will likely now be our go to place for Thai.”

“Dinned in a few times over my stay this week and everything was great! Perfect steak, crispiest potato’s, a fun spin on the classic devilled eggs, pork chop (excuse my mess) and even the room service Club sandwich was enormous! Washed down with a great wine list and good pick me up coffee in the morning.”

“I arrived and was greeted straight away. It’s a small restaurant, but it didn’t feel too cramped. We ordered spicy fried rice and spicy noodles with chicken. The food arrived in good time and was very tasty, with nice fresh veggies and noodles/rice perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this place for a great Thai meal. “First time visitor. We ventured over to Devonport for brunch. Made our choice to try Manuka. I had the rost with smoked salmon and small flat white. The rosti with salmon, poached egg was wonderful. Being from Wellington I sort of smiled when I was asked if I wanted my coffee with a double shot, this is a given in Wellington. Coffee was great. Service professional but friendly.”

“I visited the restaurant on Chinese New Year's Eve and I have to say, the staff are doing an incredible job. Normally, on CNY Eve, most restaurants have 2 sessions at 5pm and 7pm with set menus and packed spaces. However, the food and cleanliness were still well managed. I will definitely be returning to this place.”

“Great service and delicious food. The layout is confusing and causes congestion as those wishing to pay block the entrance. It was quite busy when we went and the gentleman at front of house, seated us, took our order, delivered our meal and cleared the table. He did this both indoor and outdoor. It seemed he was doing the work of at least 3 people.”

“Slightly expensive but food selection & quality is fantastic. Good service, always a lot of staff around. An ideal place for seafood and the large portions are good for big groups. Also a decent place for yum cha. Booking is recommended as it can get busy. Some dishes are excessively salty however.”

The service is so good - a really friendly host takes you through the menu and the wine list in a very charming way, and you feel very welcome, appreciated and well cared for. All the dishes were excellent, and especially good - the potato dauphine and the strawberry soufflé. Oh, and the very good bread and butter! That something so simple can be so well done just shows what a tip top kitchen is at work!”

The crew was warm and attentive, and the ambience was really cool and inviting. A special shoutout to the bartender—absolutely amazing! The only downside was the wait time. Our three-course meal took over two hours, which felt a bit too long. That said, the quality and vibe made it worth the wait. Would still recommend, especially if you're not in a rush.”

Gillian was fabulous to work with, easy to get gold of and very accommodating throughout various meetings held in preparation. The waiting staff on the night were wonderful- so friendly and cheerful. Our meal was amazing. We loved the room we hired- it was the perfect size for our party of 30, and mingling out on the deck while the couple were off for wedding photos was lovely. Ps I couldn't comment on the noise level and reservation as they weren't really applicable as we weren't in the main restaurant.”

“Russian bakery!! Honey cake is blowing my mind…. Light and not as sweet as I thought… Pistachio cake is the one you have to try!! It’s basically dacquoise with crunchy pistachios instead of almond, cream filling.… I have tried chicken liver pie, it also delicious. Nice combination with liver and veg, well seasoned.
