Definitely recommend the Thai milk tea though, it's really special. Boss lady was so sweet, she gave out brownies to all the diners for free since it was Mother's day. Amazing service and food, definitely worth the stop in Christchurch.”

We had the same waitress both times and she made the experience exceptional (her name is Janice from Germany-sorry for not spelling her name correctly). She is a rockstar! When we came for the regular menu, and everything tasted so good! It is a very unique restaurant and wish there were more like this! (The 200 g Canterbury beef fillet is a must! “We were seated promptly and given food and drink menus. Both of us opted for the beef fillet, one rare and the other medium rare. They were done to perfection, melted in your mouth and were tasty. The accompanying vegetables were also first rate. There was a good wine list , although not all were available by the glass. My glass of Cabernet Sauvignon was a standout. We thought the atmosphere and service were great and would we would return here to eat.”

“One of the nicest places in the city for Sunday high tea brunch. French creperie with multiple choices of both sweet and sour French crepes, including some vegan options. There are plenty of suggested options, but you can also go wild and create your own one. Crepes are really amazing, very tasty, good size portions and amazing taste. It’s really great that there is vegan options available, made of buckwheat. If you have not enough of sugar you can finish with a great desert selection. Coffee is slightly bitter and not the best blend , but tea selection is perfect.”

“11/10 dim sum spot. Everything was delicious and fresh. Quick, polite service. Weekends have fresh baked pork and custard buns. Very reasonably priced. Menu has pictures and color coded pricing for each set of items ranging from $5.90 to $9.90 with the odd higher priced dish like the Peking duck. Wish I had more room to try more things. We will definitely be back.”

“Ok, this place is just heaven on earth. I can't recommend it enough. The food is divine. I mean heavenly off the charts delicious. They have a seafood chowder to rave and remember. All ingredients were fresh and the seasoning just perfect. The place is simple and doesn't look like much, but it really is a must for the soul. Great selection of wines for a cafe. We had the beef casserole and spicy prawns with some house cocktails and even the chicken sandwich was to die for. Sabina is the most delightful and charismatic woman. Her warm and caring hospitality were truly memorable. We sure hope she comes visit us to Mexico. She freely and thoughtfully shared her advice about travelling around NZ. Honestly, we would dine here if we lived in NZ. The flavours will live in our memory forever. Thank you for a great experience”
