Outstanding food in a very convivial place with loads of atmosphere. I'd say, everything was exceptional but if I had to pick a few absolute stars, they'll be the falafels, goat cheese croquettes and the mashed potato with blue cheese. The last dish was the most innovative of all. Presented like a pair of churros it was crunchy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. The steak was the piece de resistance. We loved the whole experience. Well done Chef!

Our second time at Apero in ten days, and both times were terrific. The food is imaginative and beautifully presented. The service is so good - a really friendly host takes you through the menu and the wine list in a very charming way, and you feel very welcome, appreciated and well cared for. All the dishes were excellent, and especially good - the potato dauphine and the strawberry soufflé. Oh, and the very good bread and butter! That something so simple can be so well done just shows what a tip top kitchen is at work!

This was a great experience. My first time dining here and I cant wait to visit again on my next trip to Auckland. The wine selection is great and if you let the team choose a wine for you, you might get something that isn't on the wine list. This is my kind of place! The food was excellent too. No complaints from me. I will definitely be back.

Brilliant place for wine and food. Just sit down and let the owner talk you through NZ and other wines with his partner chef cooking delicious food for you. Real gem. Go for the sausage !

We had a dinner last night, we were there for truffle dishes, so we had 3 truffle toasts and the truffle fettuccine, toast are great but the fettuccine was so salty! The waiter asked us for feedback which I told him it’s too salty, he just told us “ yeah, because it’s truffle” well, we love Apero a lot, basically will come every year! We also had other truffle dishes somewhere else, never had one like that ever! We might ordered less dishes than we should for 3 person, but we still spent $167 last night, and that service like that was not good enough to be honest.I still love Apero and the boss is nice, but with this kind of experience, I’ll double think before I go next time.

Probably the best fine dining restaurant I’ve personally ate at. The food was incredible with amazing flavours and presented immaculately. The atmosphere was second to none! The service: the waiters are the perfect fit for the role, knowledgeable, the right amount of attention to each table and so professional. It really makes a difference when you eat at an establishment that both owners work in, you could see they genuinely knew their local customers and being greeted with such kindness. I don’t know another restaurant like this, my next meal will certainly be hard to beat. Highly recommend, and book in advance! It was fully booked on a Monday night, which speaks volumes. Wish nothing but the best for these hard working people, I’ll definitely be back.

Stunning meal, everything was delicious and the fantastic staff worked around my friend’s nut allergy. A highlight of dinners we’ve had in Auckland - each dish was well composed and offered something special. The soufflé was a real standout, highly recommend.

Probably the best food on K-Road. Grate decore. Superb flavours. Very friendly and down-to-earth service, but definitely not cheap... HAHA The only thing I can't understand , and this is a problem with many establishments in NZ - THERE IS No AC - Air conditioning. It is very hard to enjoy such amazing dishes, and they are, when you're too hot. Something to take under consideration before you book on a hot day...

We couldn’t make a reservation in time but they were able to take us as walk-ins. We ordered the terrine of the day (duck, hawk, ham), pork sausage with pickles and mustard, falafel with coriander, and madelines. The food had such potent flavour. Mo, the owner, was able to spend time with us going through the menu as well as give us tips on where to go in NZ as it was our first day of arrival. There was a homey vibe to the place with personalized touches on the brick wall by the owner. Great ambiance. Prices are fair. I personally loved it! Would recommend to anyone visiting and locals seemed to favorite it as the place was packed on a Wednesday night
