Even after a month, we still talk about this place. The ambience was beautiful, the service was excellent, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing, with so many different flavours done really well. One dish that completely surprised us was the anchovy and tomato tostada. I honestly didnβt expect much from it, but it turned out to be our favourite. We ordered three dishes and two desserts, which was more than enough for two people and let us try a bit of everything. Overall, a really memorable fine-dining experience and definitely worth it.

One of the best restaurants in Auckland, Iβd say. The service was amazing! Unfortunately, we got a tougher part of the steak, so it was a bit chewy, but both the chef and the staff handled it so quickly and kindly that it completely made up for it. It actually turned into a perfect experience in my memory. The tuna crudo left me speechless, and the anchovy dish and pork taco were awesome too. Definitely coming back here again

Located on the waterfront of Aucklands Britomart area and in the heart of downtown among many excellent hotels and dining options lies the Spanish themed Alma restaurant. In general the food is very tasty and follows the sharing concept. The design is very nice and cozy with first rate staff. Sit outside and watch the evening descend on Aucklands harbour front or sit inside and take in the busy scenery! We enjoyed the wines by the glass selection that had a good balance and verity matching to the delicious food. Enjoy the evening

God this could be one of the best meals Iβve ever had in my life!! From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a beautiful lady that escorted me to my spot & was then served by an old fine gentlemen who took the time to describe everything in the menu & explain it all so well! I tried as per many recommendations the Anchovies & oh boy did they not disappoint!! I also had the blue white fish which was so rich n meaty. The oysters were OUTSTANDING, honestly the best quality Iβve had in such a long time!! I definitely recommend this place!

Went on a whim for lunch and wasnβt disappointed. We sat at the bar with the chefs, who were happy to explain things. Great service, super tasty food (the anchovy is unlike what we usually get here in NZ), and a reasonable Champagne price (for a restaurant). Menu is seasonal but see pics for the food we enjoyedβlighting wasnβt the best where we were, but you get the idea. Weβll be back!

Late posting but we came here on a Monday night in January and it happened to be our last night in NZ. We had finished a meeting at the office of our NZ colleague in Britomart and we wandered around trying to figure out where to eat but the area looked completely dead since it was a Monday. We stumbled upon this place and they happily accommodated us and seated us at a table facing the street. I recommend this table since you are sitting side-by-side. Everything was tasty but the most memorable item was hands down the anchovy & tomato tostada. Sure it was a bit salty but with vino and sherry it completed the picture!

Awesome experience with Spanish food menu at alma. Trevally was nicely done, lamb chops was delicious. Great service and seating. Definitely a must try in downtown Auckland.

Nice tapas restaurant. Some great flavours in their dishes but probably not the most authentically Spanish. Highly recommend their tuna crudo and olive-covered beef tongue. My least favourite dish was their octopus which was not charred but already a bit rubbery. Great ambience though and a nice drinks menu.

A great modern take on Spanish tapas. Killer wine selection all from Spain. Amazing and very knowledgeable staff. Food was balance. Simple yet amazing flavors that make you want to stay and continue on the food journey. Highly recommend!

Food was really tasty, and the portion was good. My favourite and most surprising dish was beef tongue, it was tender and flavourful, I am not a big fan of olives, but the myriad of flavours went really well together. Nothing bad I can say about Alma, food, service, atmosphere all great. But if I had to nitpick, it would be the cocktails were mostly sugar water with very little alcohol!
