“Love the service in this restaurant : I think this is a very authentic Chinese restaurant in Dunedin. There is a buffet and a la carte. The Sichuan cuisine tastes very good. The pickled fish tastes authentic. My family and I come here often. The service is also very good.”
“I found they made authentic desserts and visited again with my partner. I was stunned once more! The sandwich was massive and full of fresh ingredients. The salami, parsleys, ham, cheese, baby spinaches and handmade bread! The best ever! I couldn't even finish it over there and fetched it for dinner as well. When it comes to dessert, I've tried cardamom roll, pan au chocola, brown butter cookie, mascapone chocolate tart. None of them disappointed me. Every single thing was authentic. You can see different range whenever you visit then you can't be sick of their menu. Especially, brown butter cookies, it's fabulous when you have it a bit cool. The butter flavour is flooring at every bite and half the cookie is chocolate. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again”

“We're spending a few days bouncing around south South Island, New Zealand, and as a North American who now lives in this wonderful, I am VERY AWARE of how kiwis love to slip beets into everything. So I am wary. Watchful. Borderline suspicious. However, we had a fantastic dinner at Vault 21 and very little of that was due to the delightful lack of beets. Allyson was our server and a total joy. She helped us navigate some shared dishes while also ensuring my dinner partner and I got a bit of the stuff we liked (but the other might not). Pierogies were great, fried not boiled, and just melted across your tongue. Lamb was very tender. The sliders awesome and thankfully not those messy types that turn you into a BBQ-slathered freak where you end up with bits of napkin confetti all over your face, waving brown-papered hands as you beg your server for wet wipes or damp bath towels. And a huge order of fries! Very tasty and the bowl was as big as your head. Awesome. Had all sorts of dinners and lunches this past week, but so far, Vault 21 tops them all. Highly recommended.”
“What a great event. Dunedin punches way above their weight when it comes to divine culinary experiences. We went to no 7 Balmac for this unique event where Cardrona distillery gave us a tasting of their world class spirits and liquors well matched by chef Pine with yummy canapés. Great ambiance, spot on smiling service, beautiful food and Theo from the distillery, all outstanding. Can’t be more thankful for such splendid evening.”
