If you’re in the West Auckland area, it’s one of the better options when it comes to balancing affordability with a clean, roomy shopping experience. The store is spacious, well laid out, and usually well-stocked. Aisles are wide, which helps with the flow of foot traffic even during peak hours. It’s still a very practical setup — shelves packed high, lots of bulk products, and nothing fancy in terms of presentation — but everything’s easy to find. Prices are, as always with Pak’nSave, the main draw. You can save quite a bit here, especially on pantry staples, meat, and cleaning products. The produce section is usually decent, with a good range of fruit and veg, though the freshness can still vary day to day. The meat section offers plenty of variety at a decent price point, and the bakery’s got all the basics — bread, rolls, and the usual treats. Staff are generally helpful if you approach them, though it’s still a self-service kind of environment. Don’t expect heaps of interaction, but they’ll assist you if you ask. The checkout area is usually well-staffed, and self-service options are available for smaller shops. Queues move fairly quickly even when it’s busy. Parking is pretty good at Westgate. There’s plenty of space, and it’s easy to get in and out of the carpark compared to other branches. Being part of a large shopping complex also means you can tick off other errands while you’re in the area. Just like other Pak’nSaves, you might find some differences between what’s online and what’s actually in store, so it’s best to shop with a bit of flexibility. Overall, Pak’nSave Westgate is a strong performer. It’s clean, spacious, and reliable for those who want to get a big shop done without overspending. It’s still a no-frills setup, but it feels a little more polished than the older branches, which makes for a smoother experience all round.”

We were asking for directions to somewhere for a big breakfast when the friendly gentleman at the counter offered to open up the kitchen and serve us. Didn't take long at all and the food & coffee was delicious, as well as very good hospitality from the team.”

“I popped into the Albany Liquorland store last week to buy a non-alcoholic Aperol drink I had been unable to source anywhere else. Apparently very popular at the moment. I was served by Jordayne and she was FANTASTIC. There were supposed to be three bottles put aside for me, but there was a mix up and only one was available. I had driven all the way from Gulf Harbour, so was a tad disappointed. Jordayne quickly went about and ordered what I wanted from another Liquorland Store and in her own time personally delivered them to me at my home (a good 40 minute drive from the store) a couple of days later. “Farro has the freshest and best quality veges, and at times it's cheaper than the supermarket. They stock many specialist products like duck and steamed buns..... The wine selection is very good, and I prefer their rose selection to supermarkets. The store has a farmers market, community feel. They offer fresh rolls, salads and coffee. I only buy deli meats from here as the quality is better than supermarket brands. Staff are friendly and helpful.”

“Stopped in for lunch while getting a car serviced. The guy working stated they'd just opened so the wait time was longer but I wasn't in a rush, so not an issue for me. Service was friendly, food was served fresh and hot. Good lunch spot!”

“The customer service here is absolutely outstanding! The staff are so genuinely lovely, they’ll even hold the door open for you, or bring the order to your car (when I've had kids in the car). The buffalo chicken wings are hands down my favourite, always a hit! Most people don't know about the chicken wings, so please do yourself a favour and add them to your next order!! Every visit has been nothing short of perfect. Honestly, I don’t have a single complaint. Highly recommend!”

The sushi I wanted was not available but they made it quickly for me and it was delicious. No complaints here. Greeted by friendly staff and taken straight to our table on a busy Saturday (we had booked and would probably recommend as was very busy) Companion had the kumara burger and it was delicious. I had the platter "for 2" which was phenomenal decent portion of each item and all were delicious. We then had desserts and they were very tasty. All the staff were very nice too. Will definitely be back!”

“Firstly, these guys offer those super tasty Cantonese/Hong Kong flavours - not the less satisfying mainland Chinese flavours becoming more prevalent in the city. Even the free soup (see pics) was tastier than many paid soups found in other restaurants. We ordered the Dry Fried Round Beans (G1 on the menu at the time of ordering) which comes with that super tasty Cantonese pork sauce - it makes everything taste better! And a big serve of Soy Chicken BBQ noodle soup (N2 on the menu at the time of ordering) - you won’t leave hungry! Delicious Cantonese style Soy chicken & BBQ pork with egg noodles - and that sweet/umami combo Cantonese soups are famous for. Even the tea was special, with a balanced, light fragrance which comes from a touch of lemon - a house blend apparently. Thank you, we’ll definitely be back!”
