I’m writing to provide feedback regarding an online order I placed for pickup today, 30/12/25. I was very disappointed with the cold goods included in my order, as several items were extremely short-dated, with only two days remaining until their best-before date. While I understand that these are “best before” dates, this is still unacceptable for an online pickup order where customers do not personally select items. As a former online supervisor from a previous store, I find this particularly concerning. Customers reasonably expect products with a suitable shelf life, and from a personal perspective, I would not choose to purchase items with only two days remaining. I strongly recommend that date checking for online orders is reviewed to ensure customers receive products of acceptable quality and shelf life. Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback.

Went there to do a big shop for my daughter as she was moving into her new apartment. Spent over $1000 on groceries (we hadn't been shopping for a while either). With the wheelchair, this took time. Just got slapped with a $65 fine for taking longer than 90 minutes. Conclusion - if you have mobility issues, or just need to take time shopping, go elsewhere - PaknSave clearly doesn't want you shopping there.

This supermarket got heaps on specials. Did some small shopping from here. Customer service was nice. The supermarket looks clean and tidy. Fully stocked. It has an ATM inside. You can fuel up here. Public toilet here.

Pak’nSave Westgate is a newer and tidier branch that still sticks to the chain’s signature no-frills vibe. It’s built for budget shoppers, but it feels a bit more modern compared to some of the older locations. If you’re in the West Auckland area, it’s one of the better options when it comes to balancing affordability with a clean, roomy shopping experience. The store is spacious, well laid out, and usually well-stocked. Aisles are wide, which helps with the flow of foot traffic even during peak hours. It’s still a very practical setup — shelves packed high, lots of bulk products, and nothing fancy in terms of presentation — but everything’s easy to find. Prices are, as always with Pak’nSave, the main draw. You can save quite a bit here, especially on pantry staples, meat, and cleaning products. The produce section is usually decent, with a good range of fruit and veg, though the freshness can still vary day to day. The meat section offers plenty of variety at a decent price point, and the bakery’s got all the basics — bread, rolls, and the usual treats. Staff are generally helpful if you approach them, though it’s still a self-service kind of environment. Don’t expect heaps of interaction, but they’ll assist you if you ask. The checkout area is usually well-staffed, and self-service options are available for smaller shops. Queues move fairly quickly even when it’s busy. Parking is pretty good at Westgate. There’s plenty of space, and it’s easy to get in and out of the carpark compared to other branches. Being part of a large shopping complex also means you can tick off other errands while you’re in the area. Just like other Pak’nSaves, you might find some differences between what’s online and what’s actually in store, so it’s best to shop with a bit of flexibility. Overall, Pak’nSave Westgate is a strong performer. It’s clean, spacious, and reliable for those who want to get a big shop done without overspending. It’s still a no-frills setup, but it feels a little more polished than the older branches, which makes for a smoother experience all round.

I bought two broccolis from Paknsave Westgate today, and after bringing them home, I cooked one to prepare for my lunch box the next day. However, as I was preparing it, I was horrified to discover that the broccoli was infested with a TON of mites, and to make matters worse, there was even worm in it! Instead of the healthy, fresh produce I expected, I ended up with a pot of mites soup! This is absolutely DISGUSTING and UNACCEPTABLE!!! As a customer, I trust that the items I purchase from your store are SAFE and suitable for consumption. To find such an infestation in something as basic as broccoli is not only concerning but also a MAJOR HEALTH RISK! I am deeply disappointed, as this experience has made me question the quality control measures you have in place for your fresh produce products! I urge you to take immediate action to inspect the rest of your stock to ensure this doesn’t happen to other customers.

Always thought their baking here is a lot more superb. Can add a bit more variety though. Just bought this custard roll and it's really good! Car park can be full at times, but you are protected from the elements. Prices here aren't the cheapest compared to other Pns, but it's very comfortable to shop.

I took my friend's mother to the supermarket to buy. The supermarket clearly stated that each customer had 2 plates of eggs. We two bought 3 plates. Why not? And we are a family, your sign does not say 2 dishes for a family, but a maximum of 2 dishes for one person. Your cash register manager has a particularly bad attitude, and the teller has no polite language or smile from beginning to end. I just want to know, is this discrimination, discrimination against a pregnant woman, whose English is not good? This is how the big shop bully customers, so awesome that I asked me to complain

My favourite pak n save in west Auckland. they always have the most options and biggest and freshest produce compared to the others. You'll only find these big juicy tomatoes in the Westgate pak save. The parking situation is a mess though, it's always full and stressful finding a parking here.
