“Unbelievable cafe! Super busy though so plan to wait, but totally worth the wait. Staff are amazing at juggling tables and customers, a very well run team. Amazing food! I got the big breakfast and added hollandaise, a Vienna coffee and takeaway too as coffee was so good! Hands down one of the best cafes around. Plus it’s on the beach so you can go for a walk on beach afterwards! Will be back for-sure!”
“What a cool little bar. Locate the sign on the street and walk up the stairs. The entrance has no real sign, there is just a closed door and when opened reveals a funky bar. Cool atmosphere, would be great in winter on a cosy winter night but we enjoyed it on a hot summers night. Just stopped for one drink but wish we could have stayed longer.”
“Skinny sexy fries, iced choc, big fat sunday brekkie 10/10”
“Service is incredibly quick and efficient. You can consistently get in and out within a few minutes even during the peak lunch hour. The staff are very friendly and accommodating of any requests. The food is good value for the budget conscious eater. Extremely clean and tidy restaurant to enjoy a meal at.”
“I loved our food and experience at Origami in Wellington. We found this Japanese restaurant on TripAdvisor and I am so happy that we went to have dinner there! I highly recommend this place because everything was perfect. The atmosphere is nice, cosy, and modern with cute looking decorations and wall painting. The Japanese staff member was very cute and helpful at recommending dishes and teaching us about Japanese ways of drinking sake. And the food was very delicious! We had Tom Yum and Miso ramens and a dragon roll.”
“The best ramen I've found in Wellington so far - hearty flavourful broth, perfectly soft-boiled egg, thin juicy pork ... Well worth the exploration up the mysterious stairs for the authentic vibes and chill J-Rock playlist. Definitely gonna start taking friends and family here!”
“Everything was great!! The staff were nice, the pizza was delicious and cheesy. The sprites were big which was good. We also got lemon cheese cake and cookies & cream gelato which was delicious. The only negative was the waiter staff didn’t ask if we wanted 2nd drinks.”
“Two nights in a row I had dinner here because it was so good. When you enter the restaurant the aroma of the herbs and spices welcome you. Very happy with the delicious food and the excellent service. I ordered more than I needed because the food was really good. They wrapped the left-overs for me so I could take them home. I love the atmosphere and the attention to detail. When you ask for mild food then you will get mild food. The mango lassi is also very tasty. I ate a bit early and they’d put on the Indian songs with dances on the screen, it is like re-visiting India again. A beautiful great and delicious experience :-) I will return for dinner, many more times.”
“It was my first time to dined in this small restaurant. I noticed the young lady in the counter area is so nice, she smile and asked me my order.i like her service very much. I order lasagne even though is a little bit expensive but it's fine with me.what is important with me is the great service. She brought my order to my table and asked me if I needed more.im sorry my English is not good.im only a bus driver at metlink assigned at Rail Replacement.”
“Amazing food. Portions and flavour are great, and only takes 5-10 mins for the food to come out. Couldn’t rate it any higher!!”
“A nice calm place with decent service and delicious food at a reasonable rate. Was the best orange beef I have ever had. Thanks!”
“we absolutely loved this place. it was recommended by a co worker as a meat place, but in my opinion I enjoyed better other things. I enjoyed the tempura oysters and the croquetas , incredible tasty. the dessert was also perfect. The meat was good, but personally I don't enjoy when the put so many sauces to what in where in my opinion the main flavour should be the meat only. In the menu it did say it would have a sauce, but I thought it would be on the side! and they actually put 2 different sauces !! way too much! The environment and service were both up to point and the restaurant had a retro European feel which we loved. We are definitely going back for more , sooner rather than later ! (sauces on the side this time)”
“Best Seafood Laksa I've had in Wellington and in my life. It was so good that I'm jumping on google to give it a review because more people should experience this Laksa. 10/10”
“Surprisingly good! 10/10 Stir fry Beef Rice Noodles is the benchmark of any Cantonese restaurant, this one done well. Beef was tender and flavor, rice noodles were stirred perfectly, one of the best I had in NZ. Another meal was beef tenderloin noodle soup, also great, beef chunks were chewy and juicy, generous portion. Homemade hot chili paste is a hidden gem, with minced beef mixture. Great value for the money, satisfied.”
“If you get the chance to visit, it is well worth it. The vegetarian roast was so good! Everything was cooked to perfection and the presentation on the desserts was really great! The staff were really friendly and the service was fast! The decor was beautiful too!”
“KC has been around for a very long time and rarely closes. Their food is always consistent and they serve up till quite late in the night. Menu is extensive and you’ll often end up wanting to replace your initial choice as there’s too many to choose from! My favourite is the black pepper pork chop and deep fried squid (which you need to eat while it’s hot). The place is often packed so be ready to do takeaways or hang around till one is available. Toilets are at the back however do be careful as the floor might be a tad slippery.”
“We had a very relaxing 3 course meal and drinks at field and greens. Very nice starters mains and dessert along with friendly service made for a great date night. Keep up the great work we will be back!”
“I love this place. The food, atmosphere and staffs are sooooo nice. You can order different dishes and share. You should try here if you have never been. You won’t regret it!”
“My friend wanted to try Concord out and having perused the menu online (who doesn’t) I was in like Flynn. We shared the pate entree that was delish. The only negative was the chargrilled toast tasted burnt. But the pate was sublime. My friend had the steak sandwich “rocking” was her review. I had the fish. This was outstanding. Cooked to perfection, a flavourful delicate butter sauce and fresh, Al dente asparagus. The best. The ambience was awesome and the service was great. Didn’t get the server’s name but she was a delight. Highly recommend.”
“The service was friendly and the food was fantastic. Beautiful setting next to the harbor. The lamb was superb. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. They asked about any food allergies and were very helpful in accommodating mine. They brought us a beautiful small, complimentary dessert plate to celebrate our anniversary. The pineapple mess dessert was just ok. Too bitter for my taste, but beautifully presented. The cheesecake is divine.”
“Very nice cocktails and foods. Scottish bar manager Rio, she is super friendly and lovely. Great vibes ! I like outside table when sun is out.”
“Very tasty Korean Fried Chicken in Wellington. We ordered the original crispy chicken meal and the The Big Burger with volcano chicken. The crispy chicken is real crisp and super juicy. Love the spice level of the Volcano too. Well worth the trip for us as we came from Porirua seeking for a yummy korean fried chicken and they didn't disappoint. The burger is really good but a bit tricky to eat so can get a bit messy. The meal/combos are a good alternative for a single diner. Good portion size and their chips are real good as well.”
“$18.50 for a mixed Syrian Shwarma, with sauce and chips. Good value food. Will go again.”
“Visiting Kelburn and found this. Brilliant food just like I remember from many years ago travelling in Malaysia and S India - Murtabak was delicious. Friendly, quick. Will come back here next time I'm in Wellington.”
“Quite possibly the best dairy in New Zealand if not the world. Bursting with friendliness, well stocked with every beer (including Vailima), the lowest pricest in Aro Valley and some delectable curry you wouldn't believe comes out of the joint. Big ups to Virang Manjula and the team!”
“Amazing Malaysian food. One of the best Char Kuey Teow I've had. Had the 'wok hei' flavour. Nasi lemak with lamb pendant was amazing too. Only complain is that there sambal portion was too small. The lamb rendang was amazing”
“Delicious food, friendly staff, quick service. Not pictured was the slices for desert, which were divine. The greens were the show stealer, definitely recommend as a side to share. Will be back again!”
“I ordered garlic soy meal, this flavour is very tasty, best Korean fried chicken in local”
“My partner and I love eating here. It’s our go to when we go into Wellington. My partner has eaten here for years!!”
“Went here to get Fish and Chips for dinner. I ordered some fish, chips and a hot dog. Everything was cooked perfectly and was not greasy at all. I also really liked how the hot dog came of a stick. Overall I will definitely come back to get fish and chips.”
