The best French restaurant ever in wellington! The team were very lovely, the food was brilliant. Just missed Mille-feuille I hope they add on their regular menu. Would recommend pumpkin feta risotto and potato-praw roastie simply the best!

Enjoyed an absolutely delicious lunch with a glass of French Chardonnay at Tartines Cafe while visiting Eastbourne. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere seated in their covered courtyard on a beautiful sunny winters day. The staff were friendly and attentive. Tartines welcome dogs which was an added bonus as we had driven out to Eastbourne to take her for a walk. We also noticed they had a lovely selection of frozen takeaway meals so we popped back on our way home and bought a couple of delicious looking soups that are very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Six of us for brunch. Nicely seated at commdious table. Impressed by the extremely wide French oriented menu and noted that wine was also available. Enjoyed superb French Onion soup and crepes. Side chips order beautifully cooked and very tasty. Excellent coffee.

I recently visited this establishment after hearing numerous positive reviews. It offers traditional French cuisine accompanied by attentive service. I would advise familiarizing yourself with the menu, as some dishes may be unfamiliar to those not well-versed in French gastronomy, which might affect their enjoyment. I strongly recommend this restaurant to those who appreciate high-quality dining experiences at reasonable prices. Coffee was bit off which could be reviewed.

Good quality food. From the beginning to the end. The finesse of this cafe is awesome. The wait staff were on point. The kitchen produced a variety of taste sensations, made with love. Thankyou all for your time.

This was one of the best meals and experiences I have had. I had the poached eggs with ham and hollandaise- one of the best meals I have had (and I am not exaggerating) every bite was delicious. I also had some wonderful sweets from the cabinet, the service was impeccable and unobtrusive. A lovely place on a lovely winter's day!

Gorgeous tucked away location. Food looked truly delicious. Not the place for vegans but all else fair game. Worth a stop.

We had some croque madames and crepes. We were a little disappointed with the croque madame as the bechamel sauce was tasteless and the serving was quite small. Also the salad was unwhelminv, iceberg lettuce, tomato and vinigrette, I found my crepes with Whittaker's chocolate to be quite thick and greasy.

A nearby French cafe is a dream, and I only knew of this place a few days ago. Payday and I'm there! Reality however, grounded me pretty quick. The 'Crepe Sucree' was incredibly citrus-bitter. Took the breath away, and not in a way I was expecting. The 'Tartine Traditionnelle' was just inexcusable. The toast was cold, the ham was cold and the scrappy-looking poached eggs looked like I cooked them, as opposed to a professional cook. They were also too firm, which was probably from the time they sat on the pass. The overall presentation of the meal just says 'I don't care'. I did mention this to them when paying too, so not talking out of turn. That said, I'm thinking this is an anomoly and I'm going back. There's too many other dishes I want to try and won't let this visit put me off.
