I initially didn't think highly of Mama Kitchen's Malaysian dishes, but after a colleague introduced me to their Chinese dishes, I've become a regular - it's now my weekly lunch spot! My absolute favourite is the Spicy Chicken Mixian ($19.50) - a wonderfully spicy chicken noodle soup that warms you up completely. Other standout dishes I've enjoyed are the Szechuan Pork Belly With Rice ($20.50), the Lu Rou Fan/Taiwanese Pork Rice Bowl ($21.50), and the Wonton Soup ($16.50). The servings are generous, and the service is both friendly and fast. If you're planning to dine in, I'd suggest going before or after the midday rush to ensure you get a seat.

The chicken and the beef noodle soup have no flavour even after you add the sauce but the other food is pretty good

A nice calm place with decent service and delicious food at a reasonable rate. Was the best orange beef I have ever had. Thanks!

The food is delicious :) I tried the hor fun noodles and it was quite authentic. The menu on the wall is extensive. So many to choose from! - pad thai, rice dishes, wonton noodles, curry with roti, etc. Average dish price is about $18. Unfortunately took ages to read through the list of dishes and only discovered right at the bottom hidden by the shelf decor was a fatty pork dish that I wished I ordered too. Interior is small, neat, modern and simple but not cosy. Really a place to just eat and go. Service is friendly, helpful and patient.

We opted for Pad Thai and Curry Laksa, but unfortunately, both dishes were rather mediocre and lacked the genuine flavors we were expecting. It was disheartening to find that the restaurant's impressive rating didn't match the quality of the food.

Sadly, this place seems to have gone downhill. Char Kway Teow used to be savory, delicious, with slices of Chinese sausage - now it is a wet bland yellow pile of noodles in bland yellow sauce. Today, I ordered the Pad Thai - another bland pile of yellowish noodles.

My first time trying this place, I got the nasi goreng. The service was really quick. It was good value for money, a decent amount of chicken and prawns in there. The chicken was really delicious, it tasted like it had been marinated. Overall it wasn't bad, but it was a little bit bland for my taste. I took it home and added a drizzle of sweet soy sauce and some chilli powder and it was awesome! I think next time I'll just ask for them to make it a little spicy. Keen to try more of the menu.

Good value for money for great, freshly cooked food. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially what is on every menu item. The 5 dumplings for $10 is excellent value. Decor is basic but works well for the lunch crowd with monochromatic artwork on the high walls. You can sit and watch the terrific kitchen staff prepare your meal while also taking in the view from Lampton Quey. If ordering something spicy, it will have heat but will be done authentically. The cold drinks do help if you did spicy a little too much.
