Everything is lovely!! From the owner to food! Perfect! Highly recommended! Serving is big! The potato is superb! The roast couldn’t say more.. very tender! I got a beef and pork roast with kumura, potatoes and pumpkins
Have visited three times now and will definitely be back in the future when visiting Wellington. Absolutely delicious food, very reasonable prices for the massive portions of food you get. The meat was beautiful and tender and the veges were fresh and delicious too. Super friendly and happy staff. Keep up the excellent work.

My partner and I stopped in here for a quick bite on Saturday 29th July. This is our go to roast place. We both ordered the roast pork roll, hers was meat only and I get everything on it. Plus couple cans of 250ml V green. Generous amount of meat on both rolls and the gravy always makes it. Always delicious every time we come here. Staff are always friendly and smiling.
Really nice roasts. Just feel sorry for the staff though because it is so popular and they are always flat out behind the counter. Sometimes I just want to roll up my sleeves, get behind the counter and give them a hand. Hats off to the staff, they work so hard.
Don't know what some are complaining about one of the best roast places around, compared to places you find in food courts at Queensland or North City, those places have meals that taste like frozen meals purchased from the supermarket with dried tasteless potatoes. Roast canteen has fresh potatoes and kumara with flavour, nice gravy and fresh meat, just time when you go for fresher meat
Always super yummy, we generally get the pork (if you're early enough sometimes extra crackle) and it's always well cooked the veges are well cooked, not mushy at all. Plus friendly staff, nice and quick service too. Well, well worth it for a nice, easy good roast for dinner.
