“I have been here multiple times having tried Chicken Chow Mein, Garlic Prawn Noodles, the double pattie burger, chips, jam donut and the deep fried mars bar. Have not been disappointed yet, friendly service, only had to wait longer than expected for my food once (which is really impressive), great food (garlic prawn noodles is my favourite) and the shop looks clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend.”

“Ok so I'm a Indian cuisine nut, I've been to so many restaurants I've lost count, but.... After dining here for my birthday last week I'm completely in love with this place. A table of 6 and everyone was so happy and amazed at there food it was crazy... It was beautiful... The service was awesome and it was all at the table in moments. Honestly cannot say enough about how amazing the food is and how well we were looked after. BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN NZ HANDS DOWN..”

“It was an amazing final stop on North Island, we travelled by car from Auckland. Fully equipped room incl washing and drying machine, was a bless. Fully equipped kitchen if you'd like to cook during holiday time. Breakfast has some options however there's no coffee machine or veggie options. It's really close to historical/government city part.”

“We dropped in for a quick takeaway and as usual it was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. As we waited for our takeaways, a lovely staff handed us a glass of water which is an awesome gesture. We have dined in several times and we never had any negative feedback to provide. Lots on the menu to choose as well as your usual pastries and sweet desserts. Our favourite is the seafood casserole! Very rich and if given the chance, I would lick the bowl! Parking can be tricky as there are only a few on the street and several others by the side. Best to book if you do visit on the weekend or just wait as the turnover is pretty quick.”

“Since John took over, this pub has gone from strength to strength. He's added so many features (doggy biscuits and beers, kids play area, lots of board games, weekly food trucks, weekly quizzes) that have made it not only a family friendly, local pub, but also a destination. Offering some amazing beers, wonderful staff will take you into their care and ensure you can kick back and relax. Dog friendly, kid friendly, social team friendly, it really does offer do much! Thanks for everything team, we love you!”

“This is where we come for our butter chicken and garlic naan fix ❤️❤️. We recently bought their samosas, so tasty and the sizes of each one are perfect, especially with the sauce it comes with. We absolutely love them! I highly recommend giving this establishment a visit.”

“Our favourite spot as a young family of six! Even better that we can bring our beloved pooch. The food is delicious, the outdoor area is perfect, and with four boys we always appreciate being able to sit outside. Great staff and a lovely, generous owner. “This was my first time dining at Loretta and dining at a restetaunt in general, as I get incredibly nervous eating out due to my allergies, but it was a fantastic experience!!! The staff were so lovely and accommodating towards my allergies – Ruby and Anna were incredible – tripple checking everything to make sure it's safe. Overall, amazing service from the kitchen for accommodating my allergies amongst all the other tables. The food was also fabulous, would highly recommend! Thank you for such a lovely experience ”

“Stumbled upon this place for lunch today - it’s located at one end of the Willis Lane development. It’s comfortable enough although not the cosiest spot atmosphere-wise BUT the service was lovely, speedy, and the food was delicious. I ordered this pesto pasta (sorry, can’t remember the exact name) and it was not only beautiful but was only $13 as part of the lunch time pasta special. Will be back for sure, really enjoyable and amazing value.”

“Absolutely flawless, perfect 5 stars! Despite arriving quite late, around 8 pm, I was greeted warmly by the staff, all with genuine smiles. The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy and spotlessly clean, with plenty of seating available. The menu was impressively extensive, and the staff graciously guided me through the options with clear explanations. Opting for (Hainanese) chicken rice, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived promptly in just 5 minutes. The presentation was stunning, and the taste surpassed all expectations. The chicken was juicy and bursting with flavour, complemented perfectly by the fresh and crispy fried onions, freshest sliced cucumber and the subtly tangy soy-based sauce. The homemade chili sauce was also very authentic and a delightful touch. The accompanying chicken soup was also delicious and showcased the freshness and quality of the ingredients. At $22, the meal was not only delicious but also amazingly good value. Both the attentive waitstaff and the friendly chef made me feel incredibly welcome, leaving me eager to return. With so many enticing dishes left to try, I'm already looking forward to my next visit.”

Govu Sundar was extremely good with his cooking skill and serving skills. He was the only one attended us. I strongly recommend this restaurant for everyone out there to experience Authentic taste of Indian food. I have tasted before but this is pure Indian taste. Govu Sundar is the great asset for this restaurant.”
