“Surprisingly good! 10/10 Stir fry Beef Rice Noodles is the benchmark of any Cantonese restaurant, this one done well. Beef was tender and flavor, rice noodles were stirred perfectly, one of the best I had in NZ. Another meal was beef tenderloin noodle soup, also great, beef chunks were chewy and juicy, generous portion. Homemade hot chili paste is a hidden gem, with minced beef mixture. Great value for the money, satisfied.”
“KC has been around for a very long time and rarely closes. Their food is always consistent and they serve up till quite late in the night. Menu is extensive and you’ll often end up wanting to replace your initial choice as there’s too many to choose from! My favourite is the black pepper pork chop and deep fried squid (which you need to eat while it’s hot). The place is often packed so be ready to do takeaways or hang around till one is available. Toilets are at the back however do be careful as the floor might be a tad slippery.”
“Came here to get the wagyu. Tried the bruschetta and it was delicious. The balsamic sauce and the hummus were so good together, tomatoes were fresh, and the bread was tasty as well. My seasonal fruit mojito was super tangy but tasted great. Had some spencer potatoes as well which was a good addition to my main, which was the A5 Kagoshima Wagyu. Literally melted in my mouth, it was super fatty and was so good together try for the first time. For dessert I tried their seasonal fruit sorbet, which was icy, and at the time the sorbet was very tangy, but was good overall. I also got the layered honey cake which was 10/10.”
“The service was friendly and the food was fantastic. Beautiful setting next to the harbor. The lamb was superb. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. They asked about any food allergies and were very helpful in accommodating mine. They brought us a beautiful small, complimentary dessert plate to celebrate our anniversary. The pineapple mess dessert was just ok. Too bitter for my taste, but beautifully presented. The cheesecake is divine.”
“Friendly local pub to keep up with the sports but also a space for a family-friendly environment for a quiet catch-up or to celebrate with your family and friends. Awesome daily specials. Their homemade pizza is amazing and completely worth it. A hit with adults and kids.”
“A neat little bar tucked away from any main road that has an outstanding collection of craft beer, a quirky menu and, if you’re there at the right time, live music. This little treasure is always worth a visit”
“I frequent Panhead Tory fairly regularly as I live near by. Always love the beer and appreciate trying something different than their standard can range. Food is very good too. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.”
“Very nice cocktails and foods. Scottish bar manager Rio, she is super friendly and lovely. Great vibes ! I like outside table when sun is out.”
“✅✅✅✅✅ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Deeeeeelicious!!! High quality ingredients, prepared to a high standard, presented authentically, and with perfect condiments to heighten the Vietnamese experience. Would recommend for: -Corporate entertaining -Date nights -Solo treats -Small gatherings The only thing to elevate this to flawless would be to have a mixologist to tie in the Vietnamese flavour profiles. We wouldn’t have left, and the bill would have happily been tripled.”
“Unbelievable cafe! Super busy though so plan to wait, but totally worth the wait. Staff are amazing at juggling tables and customers, a very well run team. Amazing food! I got the big breakfast and added hollandaise, a Vienna coffee and takeaway too as coffee was so good! Hands down one of the best cafes around. Plus it’s on the beach so you can go for a walk on beach afterwards! Will be back for-sure!”
“Delicious food, friendly staff, quick service. Not pictured was the slices for desert, which were divine. The greens were the show stealer, definitely recommend as a side to share. Will be back again!”
“The best Malaysian restaurant I've been to in NZ - easily beats the ones in Auckland. The restaurant was full when we arrived. We had to wait a few minutes but the staff kept us updated and cleared a table quickly for us. The portion sizes were big. We enjoyed the delicious dishes which reminded us of the authentic food we had when we travelled to Malaysia. We'll definitely return the next time we're back in Wellington!”
“Called for a last minute booking and they managed to fit us in. BEST PASTA and tiramisu I've ever had out before. Generous portions that weren't over filling or over priced. Amazing server Namita always wearing a smile and very hospitable, so welcoming. Will definitely be coming back”
“Food was fantastic, best meal I have had in NZ. Lamb was cooked to perfection, paired with roasted root vegetables that had a wonderful, natural glaze. Roasted potatoes lightly browned, creamy on the inside. The pork belly was also very nicely done, the mash hearty and flavorful. Cabbage provided a nice counter-point. Highly recommended.”
“You might need to sit outside or at an open area at night. When cold, take a warm jacket in case you need to sit in these areas. Food is delicious. Had WoP”
“It's been a while since I've called into Coco Kai, but they always deliver on a yummy meal. The spareribs were practically falling of the bone & delicious. The Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich with curly fries went down a treat with our Fantas to wash it all down.”
“A lovely cafe on Jackson St with heaps of cabinet food and full menu available. Portions are huge so do take that into consideration if you’re a light eater. Daily specials are often changing on the blackboard. Extremely friendly service and dogs are allowed at the rear of the cafe. It does get busy on weekend mornings so bookings are essential. Lots of parking but be prepared for a wee stroll if it’s busy.”
“Me and my family come by every so often. The food is always good and the staff are lovely. They've got a good range of drinks and desserts as well, although for the most part we stick to the dinner menu. Highly Recommend”
“This is the best turkish shop i have been too in forever, it’s so good the service is good & the people here are so kind!”
“The best kebab shop in the Hutt no any other kebab shop can be better than Arzum whoever is looking to try the best food in the hutt I highly recommend this restaurant. Very good service and very friendly people inside with fully respect. Highly recommend.”
“I've been to a lot of kebab places around Lower Hutt, and this place beats them all. Great price kebabs, generous portions, and they are juicy without getting soggy. The meat was grilled well, with good sized pieces and lots of crispy bits, and the kebab was wrapped so that you don't have to fight the tinfoil away before you can eat it. I also had the baklava, which at $8 is on the pricier side, but it was a good portion with plenty of syrup nuts and crunchy pastry. Today was my 3rd time here, and it will be my go-to kebab shop from now on.”
“Absolutely loved our visit here! I was down from Palmy visiting my son and he took me here for lunch. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in the door — such friendly, genuine service. The staff went above and beyond and made us feel right at home. A special shout out to Piney who served us. She was the most beautiful, friendly and bubbly young lady. A real credit to Caffiend Cafe. The food was delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully served. You can tell there’s real care behind everything they do. A real gem. Can’t wait to come back!”
“Great first visit to Revive! Had the smoked fish kedgeree and was thoroughly impressed. They were very generous with the amount of fish, the egg was runny and perfectly poached and the rice was creamy and lightly spiced. Great balance of textures and flavours- the squeeze of lemon really pulled everything together! Staff were friendly and efficient even though we went during a very busy time. Clearly very good at what they do. Great vibe inside- very modern and clean. They had the doors open so good temperature. Definitely visit if you are considering it!”
“Super cool space that you would never know existed above the storefront. We ate too quickly to take photos, but had the Thai beef salad, big breakfast, and the standard two egg plate. My son had a salted caramel milkshake that he said was wonderful. They have a full soda bar and coffee bar along with amazing pastries. It’s a little loud inside. The view is absolutely amazing even on this cloudy day. This is a fun place to eat with great food!”
“I absolutely adore this place! Every time I come here, I’m greeted with warm service and a welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes me feel at home. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—truly a treat for the senses. From the first bite to the last, every dish is full of love and care. Whether it’s a casual meal or a special night out, this place never disappoints. It always leaves my belly happy and a smile on my face. Highly recommend to anyone who loves amazing food and a cozy, friendly vibe!”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for Machete Coffee Shop. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing and inviting, making it a fantastic spot for everyone. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and I’m always impressed by their excellent service. Their menu offers a variety of meals that cater to all dietary requirements, and I love that they keep it fresh and seasonal with exciting new options. The design of the shop captures a lovely New York vibe that's unique to Wellington, making each visit a special experience. However, I must address a recent review that was posted under my name. Unfortunately, my account was hacked, and that review was entirely untrue. I sincerely apologize for any confusion it may have caused. Machete Coffee Shop is a place I truly admire, and I can assure you that my experiences there have been nothing but positive. Thank you for all that you do, and I look forward to my next visit!”
“Consistently the best Coffee I can find in the CBD. Service is top tier. Food is really good. Atmosphere is great, it’s busy, bustling, and they have an on to it team, who always make you feel welcome. But the star of the show is absolutely the coffee. Recommend.”
“Great produce, even better staff. Left my debt card behind after shopping there. Got a call 5 min later saying they had it. All sorted quickly and politely. Great spot!”
“Beautifully presented avocado on toast. Good coffee. Pleasant staff. Fair prices. Most importantly, theyre accommodating to small, friendly dogs, meaning I can go there without worrying about my little puppy.”
“Really awesome cafe to have in the heart of Brooklyn, Friendly staff, great service and top it off good coffee, and the food looks amazing,”
