“Aubergine is our favourite restaurant in Wellington and we go there for every special occasion. This time it was my wife's birthday. As always, we were treated to a lovely evening with attentive service, fine wine and a beautiful meal. Aubergine has just the right ambience for an intimate evening dinner, the food has never been less than excellent and we are made to feel very welcome.”

“Highly recommend. I absolutely loved my breakfast. The omelette was delicious and the butter was served at room temperature so it actually spread on my toast. The service was fast but you weren't rushed. Great chilling music played in the back ground.”

“Both chips and fish were fried to perfection. This shop uses only vegetable oil for frying in effect which gives it the good crunch. It was quite a surprise to find them open on Boxing Day too, and its proximity to Titahi Bay Beach is an equation that one can't simply miss.”

“Me and my partner had a pork rib and a their signature Chicken Burger. It was absolutely delicious perfectly cooked, full of flavours, and beautifully presented. The service from Ashish was excellent. He was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable which made our experience even better. Definitely recommend both the dish and the great service. “I have been to this venue twice now. On the most recent visit I had the Thunder burger. I like the atmosphere and the low-key concerts they host. The staff are friendly and efficient. I will continue to attend the concerts and enjoy the food at this cafe'.”

“We regularly come here with the kids, extended family and friends! We love the outdoor but undercover section. It’s warm even on a cold day! We so appreciate the kids area and try to book a table near it! The staff are always friendly, quick and efficient! We have several food allergies with the kiddos and it’s never been a problem here! Kids love it! The only negative is that there is not a dairy free option for kids dessert eg only soft serve. Would be fabulous to have another option even ice blocks.”

“Went in on a cold Wednesday for some lunch and had the loaded hash bites. SOOOO good. Me and my boyfriend were raving about it on the walk home. 15.90 I think is very affordable for wagu brisket on hash bites. The meat was tender and the sauces were delicious. Very good customer service too. Very friendly and kind. Definitely would eat here again!”

“Had brunch there for the first time and loved it. For those who aren’t aware, it used to be called Mayfair theatre in the 1900s and you’ll be able to catch some of its history in the cafe. We had the Breakfast Special and it was perfect and a bonus to it was a well brewed coffee. Service was excellent and we exchanged a few chats along the way. The fireplace kept the cafe warm and toasty but not too heated. Lots of street parking available which adds to the convenience. This place also does discounts on the Entertainment Book or First Table bookings.”

Fast and very affordable, my whole family enjoyed their time along with the naughty kids. Sorry about the kids running around during dinner. Would highly recommend Taste Amazing for anyone looking to host a birthday party, or wedding simple lunch or dinner or whatever you like these guys are the best.”
