“Oh wow, I’ve couldn’t asked for more… The food blew my expectations with a mix of both gourmet and the pub grub that comforts the belly. Ordering was a breeze (thanks Rosie!!) the food arrived faster than my typical “fast food” visit, and the atmosphere at the quiz was like I was playing The Chase with Bradley Walsh. “Stopped here recently for a Quick brunch on a Saturday morning and I was blown away for more than one reason - courteous staff, quick service, great indoor and outdoor ambience and most importantly tasty food. Walked in- immediately greeted and seated. Ordered sourdough bread with spicy scrambled eggs and coffee. Initial thoughts - pricey. But when the order came through, I must admit it was worth every penny. It was a visual treat and tasted amazing. A humble dish elevated to a whole new level and generous portions. Needless to say - I literally cleaned up my plate. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend this place.”

“We have been to this cafe so many times. I love the outdoors, it has nice area outside where you can sit and enjoy your drinks and meals. I always feel this place is a bit pricey but still like the vibe of the cafe. Service is okay, there are times when we have to request staff to clean table. Other than that staff are always polite and helpful. I enjoy their milkshakes, coffees are okay.”

“Had the 8-course tasting dinner with wine pairing and it was such a great experience. Every dish was packed with flavour and looked amazing on the plate — you could tell a lot of thought went into the menu. Some combinations really surprised me, like the beetroot carpaccio with macadamia crusted feta, and the smoked eel with caviar — so good! The wines were perfectly matched to each course, starting with a crisp Champagne and ending with a bold Pinotage. It really brought out the flavours of the food. Service was spot on — the team were friendly, easy to talk to, and kept the evening feeling relaxed but still special. We never felt rushed, and everything flowed nicely from one course to the next. Left feeling full, happy, and impressed. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone who enjoys great food, wine, and a memorable night out.”

“Both chips and fish were fried to perfection. This shop uses only vegetable oil for frying in effect which gives it the good crunch. It was quite a surprise to find them open on Boxing Day too, and its proximity to Titahi Bay Beach is an equation that one can't simply miss.”

“Who cares about atmosphere, I much prefer to go into a shop with a 30 year decor and get yummy food than the opposite. And these guys produced the yummy f&c and Chinese meals. Seriously amazing! Super happy.”

“We hosted our son's day for dinner for 25 people in our group, and it was beautiful. The service and food were amazing. Fast and very affordable, my whole family enjoyed their time along with the naughty kids. Sorry about the kids running around during dinner. Would highly recommend Taste Amazing for anyone looking to host a birthday party, or wedding simple lunch or dinner or whatever you like these guys are the best.”

“We regularly come here with the kids, extended family and friends! We love the outdoor but undercover section. It’s warm even on a cold day! We so appreciate the kids area and try to book a table near it! The staff are always friendly, quick and efficient! We have several food allergies with the kiddos and it’s never been a problem here! Kids love it! The only negative is that there is not a dairy free option for kids dessert eg only soft serve. Would be fabulous to have another option even ice blocks.”

“Went in on a cold Wednesday for some lunch and had the loaded hash bites. SOOOO good. Me and my boyfriend were raving about it on the walk home. 15.90 I think is very affordable for wagu brisket on hash bites. The meat was tender and the sauces were delicious. Very good customer service too. Very friendly and kind. Definitely would eat here again!”

“This place had changed as it's not opened right through now its cut into sections. 1 for entertainment area, 2 Gaming area with a bar. Like the pool tables and the staff were great. The meals were sensational. We Thanked the Staff and the Chef for great service.”

“Columbus coffee is a great spot when no it's raining. With an adjacent playground for the kids, you can grab a nice coffee while they play. A bowl of chips for them to snack on makes the experience even better. Then have a wander through Mitre 10 for your gardening and diy needs.”

“This has to be the best sweet and sour pork I've had in Wellington very tasty and gives you such a big portion and only $17 And perfectly cooked fish and chips highly recommend”

“Had brunch there for the first time and loved it. For those who aren’t aware, it used to be called Mayfair theatre in the 1900s and you’ll be able to catch some of its history in the cafe. We had the Breakfast Special and it was perfect and a bonus to it was a well brewed coffee. Service was excellent and we exchanged a few chats along the way. The fireplace kept the cafe warm and toasty but not too heated. Lots of street parking available which adds to the convenience. This place also does discounts on the Entertainment Book or First Table bookings.”
