“Love coco's - it is one of my regulars. Coco the owner is a fabulous hostess - she always remembers your order and is super friendly. Their menu is a hidden gem with something for everyone.”
“This place never fails. Great food, service, drinks, coffee, parking, public transport- everything! The menu is fab,. But people come for the daily specials. This is shown in a light board. You can check that out as you drive past,as well as check on how busy ( buzzy) it is. They do gluten free with no fuss, kids, no problem ( the 25 yo hipster next me ordered children's menu chicken!). Try it. Think diner/cafe/neighbourhood bistro and you'll get it. Really, have an open mind and enjoy it.”
“Macaroni and mocha were absolutely delicious! Great service as well.”
“Reserved table for 7 for dinner. All ready for us. Great service, problem with my order and I'm pleased to say the manager on duty dealt with my complaint very satisfactorily. Great value.”
“The establishment recently underwent a change in ownership, and we had the opportunity to dine there a few weeks following the transition. We found the cuisine to be exceptional, and the service was both prompt and outstanding. The quality of service significantly enhanced my dining experience, making it highly likely that I will return.”
“A definite stop, burgers chips and Chinese exceptional”
“Friendly service, Gr8 atmosphere & interiors & immaculately crafted food. Best Beer battered Fish & chips I've had in Aotearoa so far.”
“It's such a nice cafe at the waterfront of Days Bay. Nice atmosphere and staff. Sometimes, it takes a while for the kitchen, but that is mainly because of how busy it is. The food is great, cakes are nice and the coffee is good.”
“The food and the service was excellent. Pizza was delicious and staff were friendly. Everything happened in a very timely manner despite there being several large groups in. 10/10 would recommend. It was really quite loud inside though which is to be expected in a busy restaurant”
“Olé is amazing! If you are looking for something more interesting than Asian or Italian- this is your place. The tapas portions are generous and delicious. We had the pomegranate and home made lemonade drinks and they are divine. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience, the food is prompt and tasty and the service is excellent. We left full and impressed. We’ve been to Spain and the food at olé is authentic and awesome.”
“Always a beautiful place for kai, with lovely staff! The two for one deal is top tier. Definitely our new favorite spot”
“The cafe is casual and relaxed and the staff are really friendly. Food is really good - there is a lot of choice and ability to customise your meal. And the bonus of it being next to Bunnings is there is plenty of parking.”
“This is a hidden gem ... If you are in wellington CBD you should definitely visit chow restaurant... Food was delicious the mocktails were amazing ... Plenty of seating ... Staff were lovely”
“We opted for a range of share plates in lieu of mains - the pull-apart garlic loaf, pork belly bites, bacon wrapped scallops and calamari. Four plates was enough to fill two of us up, and the food was AMAZING - just good food well prepared and executed. I stepped out to take a phone call and by the time I came back, our food had arrived. The staff were awesome - personable, attentive, authentic and helpful. Kate in particular put us right at ease and was the consummate host. A nice, quiet table, great music not too loud to preclude conversation, and staff that seem like they actually want to be here dealing with you... that was the point of difference! Highly recommended.”
“We had the festive high tea and the food and service was excellent. Our server especially was delightful and very knowledgeable about the teas.”
“My partner and I recently celebrated her birthday here, and we had an absolute fantastic experience. The wait staff were delightful to deal with, and the food was delicious, while being rather different (being Asian fusion food) yet incredibly clever. The spice levels in each dish were perfectly balanced, which is one of the several reasons why I consider this worthy of 5 stars. I had the salmon entree, which was perfectly cooked and tasty salmon, with one nice dollop of beetroot reduction, and one of a lemon/citrus reduction, which paired nicely. The main was the tandoori charcoal chicken which was simply fantastic. The spice on this was outstanding, with a little bit of heat, which I found really kicked it up a notch. The charcoal chicken was perfect to me, ever so slightly crisp on the outside as you would expect, but perfectly cooked and juicy on the inside. The sauce was an excellent pairing too, as was the wasabi mashed potato, even though I am not a fan of mashed potato. The addition of the cardamon seeds was simply genius, and added a little something to it that was incredibly enjoyable. As for desert, I sadly forgot to take a photo, but it was the caremalised charred pineapple, which was also delicious. I especially enjoyed the sticky salted butter sauce on the side, which also had a small touch of cardamon to really add to the dish. It was a desert that you would never really see elsewhere as it truly embodied the fusion style, and considering how yummy it was, that's a bit of a shame! I love different and interesting deserts, and this was a prime example of that. Aside from that, the decor had a very nice 1920's feel to it, with some modern twists, to make the room cosy yet stylish. The wine selection was also really well chosen too. All in all I would very much recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting something slightly different yet special”
“This was a really good choice to meet up with friends for drinks before a show. Food is good with nice sized portions. A nice selection of beers, wines and ciders. Enough space to be comfortable and neat, clean bathrooms are always a plus.”
“Great selection of kai, inu, and treats. Order at the counter, table delivery, no fuss and no stress at this smorgasbord of goodness. My cousin got the salad and i grabbed a smoothie & club sammie. Prices are also brilliant—in this economy? Need good value places like these.”
“We were served by Ash who provided top notch 5 star service. She made sure our drink and meal orders were taken promptly and all served at the right time. The meals were great. Ash settled our bill at the end accurately to our satisfaction so we were very happy with our experience at Khandallah Trading company. The place is highly recommend.”
“Was in Wellington recently for work. This was our place for breakfast, the food was consistently excellent (especially the eggs benedict without spinach), the coffee was superb and the service excellent. The house manager in the morning (from England) super friendly and the wait staff lovely too. Thank you”
“Our waiter was awesome! Amazing Service thank you! Food came out fast, we tried the WBOP meal. Solid burger great flavour, fresh ingredients and enjoyed the tots on the side as a change from fries, dipping sauce was tasty. Overall a great night out, worth the trip from the Hutt Valley”
“Oh wow, I’ve couldn’t asked for more… The food blew my expectations with a mix of both gourmet and the pub grub that comforts the belly. Ordering was a breeze (thanks Rosie!!) the food arrived faster than my typical “fast food” visit, and the atmosphere at the quiz was like I was playing The Chase with Bradley Walsh. I’m making this my regular - Thanks Realm Team!”
“Stopped here recently for a Quick brunch on a Saturday morning and I was blown away for more than one reason - courteous staff, quick service, great indoor and outdoor ambience and most importantly tasty food. Walked in- immediately greeted and seated. Ordered sourdough bread with spicy scrambled eggs and coffee. Initial thoughts - pricey. But when the order came through, I must admit it was worth every penny. It was a visual treat and tasted amazing. A humble dish elevated to a whole new level and generous portions. Needless to say - I literally cleaned up my plate. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend this place.”
“This is a lovely place where to sit, enjoy a cuppa, and even get some work done. I love their modest but delicious GF options and their music selection is on point. Running into a friendly 4 legged patron from time to time is bonus that brings extra joy to my day.”
“I recently visited Cafe Figg with my family and had an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance. The croissant was flaky and buttery, the filo was perfectly crisp, the panini was filled with flavorful ingredients, and the corn fritters were a delicious twist on a classic dish. Each item was prepared with care and attention to detail. The service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. I would highly recommend Cafe Figg to anyone looking for delicious food and top-notch service. Five stars all around!”
“We have been to this cafe so many times. I love the outdoors, it has nice area outside where you can sit and enjoy your drinks and meals. I always feel this place is a bit pricey but still like the vibe of the cafe. Service is okay, there are times when we have to request staff to clean table. Other than that staff are always polite and helpful. I enjoy their milkshakes, coffees are okay.”
“Had the 8-course tasting dinner with wine pairing and it was such a great experience. Every dish was packed with flavour and looked amazing on the plate — you could tell a lot of thought went into the menu. Some combinations really surprised me, like the beetroot carpaccio with macadamia crusted feta, and the smoked eel with caviar — so good! The wines were perfectly matched to each course, starting with a crisp Champagne and ending with a bold Pinotage. It really brought out the flavours of the food. Service was spot on — the team were friendly, easy to talk to, and kept the evening feeling relaxed but still special. We never felt rushed, and everything flowed nicely from one course to the next. Left feeling full, happy, and impressed. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone who enjoys great food, wine, and a memorable night out.”
“Lovely pizza always well cooked. Staff were helpful.”
“Nice work Supreme all this for $20 seems pretty good, fish nice and crisp and no fluffy batter. thanks”
“What an awesome place!! This is possibly the best customer service I have ever experienced and some of the quickest food as well. Both servers were incredibly lovely and accommodating. My partner had the waffles, which he really enjoyed, and I had the breakfast burrito. Both so so good. Price was around $40 for 2 meals and a drink (incredibly good for the CBD) The atmosphere and vibe of this place was incredible, especially in the Sunday morning sun. Right in the CBD and next to bus stops, great location. We will 100% be coming back here again and recommending it to friends. Thank you so much for a lovely Sunday brunch.”
