My team and I had our Christmas lunch at Chow, before we headed to Library for a cocktail master class. We had the $49 feed me menu. There was so much food (which was awesome for 7 people!) and everything was fresh and delicious. We were well taken care of and enjoyed our time very much. Thank you!
Very good! Get the smoked duck red curry with a side of jasmine rice. Not super spicy. Packed with flavor. Very addictive
It’s my first time eating at this restaurant. My table had no chopsticks, no water refiller, no menu for food and no tissue. I looked at the other tables — they had everything. Red flag for the staffs. Food is great anyway
Overall a nice flavorful meal. The Korean fried chicken and spring rolls were highlights, the curry and bao jackfruit were ok.
This is a hidden gem ... If you are in wellington CBD you should definitely visit chow restaurant... Food was delicious the mocktails were amazing ... Plenty of seating ... Staff were lovely
The staff here are incredible. We went on a night when pretty much every seat was full and everyone was run off thier feet, yet we still received fantastic service from our waitress. All the food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. We particularly loved the squid!
Food was delicious and reasonably priced ish. Portions of the sharing plates are enough to feed one person themselves as a meal but multiple would be good for groups to pick at and try lots of different things. I had the roti chenai and the pork pancakes sharing platter and i found it all to be very delicious. The satay sauce is a must try regardless of what dish its with. Highly recommend for both solo diners and groups, but this place is perfect 1st or 3rd date material. So good. Will defi be back when im next in welly
We had a pretty mediocre time here. The food was ok, nothing obviously wrong with it but it lacked oomph. The cocktails were too sweet and we felt like they just tasted of sugar. There are plenty of better places to go in Wellington. I wouldn't come back.
Chow is a safe go-to experience for dining with friends from out of town but only if you're feeling flush for cash, as it does add up. Going for the 2 4 1 cocktails on a Saturday is ideal but you will be told (once you've ordered) you're limited on time - which isn't great for enjoying a nice relaxing meal with friends. The food is great, but doesn't feel like the menu changes much. Cocktails are a lot of fun. Staff can be a little hit and miss but it's a huge place so they're dealing with huge numbers of tables
