“One of the best local takeaways available. Great value for both large and small groups. Always had very fast service and high quality food.”
“Always the best food! Especially at all hours of the night. Lovely owners and workers :))”
“The best breakfast/ brunch spot in Porirua! We had the veggie breakfast and chilli oil scrambled eggs, food was very well done and tasted great. 100% recommended.”
“Columbus coffee is a great spot when no it's raining. With an adjacent playground for the kids, you can grab a nice coffee while they play. A bowl of chips for them to snack on makes the experience even better. Then have a wander through Mitre 10 for your gardening and diy needs.”
“One of the greatest establishments to ever set foot in Johnsonville. Only real ones know. R.I.P.”
“Wow, what a feast! I couldn't resist ordering the chicken and chips, spicy fried noodles, potato fritter, and deep fried Moro Bar, and boy, was it a treat! The chicken was unbelievably fresh and juicy, with a super crispy coating that had me hooked from the first bite. And those fries? Straight out of the fryer and oh-so-crispy! The noodles were a flavor explosion, and I had zero complaints. Don't even get me started on the potato fritter – just $1 and the perfect potato to batter ratio, a definite must-have! And the deep fried Moro Bar? Simply the best I've ever had. Talk about ending the meal on a high note! Plus, the people here are just lovely and kind. What more could you ask for? Also a good way to support your local business.”
“Cost a little bit more than my normal takeaway. However, the food was so much better and very fresh. Will now be going to this store moving forward when in need for a fast dinner ✅”
“My partner and I come to the night market almost every week just to get a fritz weiner sausage. It's really good and quite popular as sausages are almost gone sometimes when we come to buy.”
“The battered fish are consistently excellent -. the batter is crispy and the fish tastes fresh. The chips are the pre-made frozen variety & are just OK. Other than the fish, the battered meat patties are my favourite. The staff are always polite. I rate this shop 4 1/2 stars but rounding up to 5 stars”
“Spacious cafe with good food and very friendly staff. Prices are also very reasonable and it is one of the best places on the Massey campus for exterior views. It could use some more support from the University in terms of signage as the cafe is somewhat difficult to find.”
“There’s been a change and we’ve noticed. Best burgers in Wellington. Worth the drive to eat watching the water. 5 stars all day!!”
“Absolutely love the sausage rolls. Something about the pastry that keeps me coming back. Adore the workers such lovely people xx”
“Incredible new menu, lovely outdoor garden. can highly recommend the duck breast, tandoori lamb chops and the mango panan cocktail, amazing service”
“Best kebab I have had in a long time, will definitely be back for another.”
“The BBQ rice box tastes amazing and is incredibly good value at only $10. Highly recommend 2 Bears for lunch”
“The chicken shack is one of the shops that I go to a lot. I love the way how there chicken is moist and big. Favourite place that a lot if people go to.”
“We had such a great Christmas party here! The staff were super friendly. The food was delicious with really generous portions, and everyone commented on how consistent it was given the size of our group. The Christmas crackers and table settings were a really nice touch too. It was a fantastic night - highly recommend :)”
“Food is always what you are expecting. Delicious!! Whole family, including kids, absolutely love the roast pork on fried rice. Just make sure you get in early before it sells out”
“Another hidden gem of a Cafe off Molesworth Street, in the old DIA building ground floor. The coffee is strong and consistently good. Food options including daily fresh fluffy cheese scones are excellent. Healthy options are also available from helpful staff. Prices are very reasonable.”
“Amazing! We had the high brunch which was delicious, dainty, generous and everything I always wanted in a high tea without all the sugar over load of a usual high tea. I loved having so many little savoury treats, fruit and chia pudding. Also a lovely quiet atmosphere so we could talk easily to each other. Total win in every way!”
“Awesome roast meals and lots of choices for Great dinners.”
“An extremely friendly greeting lead to some of the best food we have out in a loooong time. The chowder and Pork Belly was incredible. The deserts were next level tastey! The staff were very friendly and great service. We will be back very soon for sure.”
“Takeaways - We , 3 adults, 1 child, ordered a different burger each as well as chips and garlic mayo last saturday night. All the food was delicious and so fresh. Thank you we will be returning.”
“I must say Nandos Porirua has made the food so good, it felt like the original taste. Chicken was so moist and succulent, it just melted in mouth. Chips were addictive. Looking to try coleslaw next time to see if it has redeemed the same original taste. Thanks Margo for a great service. Although it longer than normal but it worth the wait.”
“Chicken Burger - pretty big, decent size, good value.the chicken had a nice crumb and was cooked well with right amount of salad and sauce. Pork chop, chips and salad/coleslaw - asked how it was and 'yum' it is lol filling and flavorful simple home-cooked food”
“Kia Ora, I visited pita pit porirua this previous weekend and my experience was delightful to say the least. From the amazing costumer service to the pita itself I was satisfied. I had a punctual young lady serving me on Saturday around 11/12 ish. she was able to hold eye contact and was smiling throughout her shift. spoke to me with kindness and made my food up to a high standard. :) thank you Pita pit.”
“Absolutely amazing food and extremely friendly. Away for work so great to find a nice place to eat. I will definitely be back!!!”
“This is such a banger! The reviews doesn't show justice to this amazing eatery! Located on the other side of the other food court, this place is quick with their service, very polite and really able to bring the native Filipino taste! My fiance being a Filipina herself and picky with her food, she managed to really love it and have a bloody decent craving acquired. For only 30 dollars (very cheap compared to Auckland), this is definitely worth every penny.”
“I recently dined at Nando's Courtenay Place in Wellington, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The whole chicken I ordered was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The accompanying french fries were crispy and seasoned just right. One of the standout features of Nando's was their impressive variety of sauces. Each one brought a unique and delicious flavor profile to the meal. It was a treat to experiment and find the perfect combination to complement my dish. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious, well-prepared food in a comfortable and welcoming setting.”
