The test of any cheese scone - do they offer to toast it, and does it come with butter not in plastic! A good cheese scone and a solid coffee. A 4/5 rating from me means it was great.
$9 for quite dry chocolate cake, was told I'd be charged for an extra spoon of yoghurt. Overall miserable vibes, will avoid a future visit.
A nice relaxed Sunday brunch at Cafe Kaizen. Lots of cabinet and menu choices to please all. Lovely staff and super quick service. Amazing coffee and hot chocolate to compliment our meals. The only decent place in Porirua cbd in our opinion, highly recommend.
We enjoyed a good breakfast at Cafe Kaizan, located in The Porirua Library. Pictured are, l. to r., open Breakfast Burger, closed Breakfast Burger and the Veg Breakast. Casual service, seating outside of the shop, light traffic, so the atmosphere was pretty good. Recommend
This place came highly reccomended. Unfortuntely didnt live up to the expectations. Coffee wasn't very nice. Carrot cake was okay, icing way too sweet but the yogurt helped to balance it out. But $6 for a single piece Fry Bread is a JOKE.
Mean feeds! Had a breakfast burger, was one of the biggest and messiest burgers Ive had in a long time! But very nice and really good coffee too, and partner enjoyed her Blat sammie. Really good cafe choice in porirua!
Our group recently dined at Cafe Kaizen in the Pataka building. Excellent selection of food. Very good prices. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff. Place is very popular and best to reserve a table during peak lunchtime hours. My go to place for awesome toasted sandwiches.
I had the breakfast burger and it's been on my mind ever since. It was tasty and filling and I didn't feel sick after eating it. There is plenty of cabinet options, especially sweets. We choose the rhubarb shortcake every time. It's also great to see Reo MΔori signage on the menu β€οΈ
Two of us were here on a Sunday over the lunch period. We were just wanting a snack and coffee. We shared a delicious savory muffin and a date scone - loads of dates. The cabinet food looked amazing and very very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and very efficient. Would thoroughly recommend.
Friendly cheerful environment to eat in. The staff make you feel very welcome and do not rush you. The food is 2nd to none. Music always playing but not intrusive. We do compare other cafes to Kaizen and they fall short. Keep that good food coming.
