Was in Wellington recently for work. This was our place for breakfast, the food was consistently excellent (especially the eggs benedict without spinach), the coffee was superb and the service excellent. The house manager in the morning (from England) super friendly and the wait staff lovely too. Thank you

Went here for dinner with a large group during a night out. I ordered the fish and chips, which I found to be overpriced for what I got. For $30, it would have been nice to have some more chips or even a side salad as i found the portions to be small. The food tasted average, nothing better than what you would get at a fish and chip shop. However, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere of the bar was very nice. Would come back for drinks but probably not for food.

Watched the Spurs vs Man Utd game , the Europa League visiting from the UK. Carrie the manager anticipating a big crowd, was gracious to call me before I arrived in New Zealand to confirm a booking . On arrival the atmosphere was electric. It was like being with old friends having a great time . Chelsie and team were brilliant making sure everyone in the pub was having a good time , serving refreshments to the table and generally making everyone feel comfortable. Just a note to say food and drinks were excellent, the breakfast buns are so yummy and very reasonably priced . When I left it was like saying goodbye to my dearest friends . The Old Bailey will always have a place in my heart . Thank your Chelsie and team , hopefully see you again x

Came in and had a pint of Monteith's Black Beer, which was delicious. Is a cozy little spot, but loud as it was kind of busy at lunchtime. When I came in I was given the option of table service or using the QR code. I'm not sure what the difference in service levels was as that wasn't explained, would defo try it again.

We've been coming here consistently for over 4 years now for team Xmas lunches. Highly recommend! The food is delicious and the service is pretty good for large groups (having to deal with the noise, etc)

A great inner city pub, friendly service and just a fun place to come. Popped in for lunch, food was great (order at table app discounts were good too) service was prompt and very friendly. Couldn't ask for more. Well done to the crew. Recommended for business lunch and travellers alike.

Went for a farewell get together, busy on a Thursday night, good table service and menu, our waiter was attentive, chatty, checked on our meals and drinks, excellent overall service. Selection of beers, and desserts, coffee/tea available too.
