“This is an interesting place to others an amazing vibe, it has the choices I am generally interested in and of course it has a hint of southern African quinine, whether you come for a coffee, or a breakfast with boerewors or you lunch with a bunny chow can you really go wrong in a place like this, I think not! “I had the tonkatsu special, and was really impressed by the pork. It was sliced around 2cm thick, so retained a lot of juices and allowed you to really taste the pork. The coating was thin and crispy, fried perfectly. Partner enjoyed the salmon gnocchi, and was very impressed by the dessert special - a sake panna cotta. If we lived closer we would definitely come more often!”

“We have been going to Polo for the last years with good reason. The coffee and kai are consistently delicious and the service friendly, efficient and comfy. Today we were back for a for brekky, when before the first bite our son started being sick and we quickly had to get out of there. Briar and the team were amazing, they quickly pulled together what we needed, no judgements, and kindly packed up what was left of our order. Thank you team.”

“Probably the friendliest staff of any cafe in the country. They're always bubbly and ready for a good yarn. The monthly changing scones and overnight oats are , 11 times out of 12, excellent , the olive lover(s) might say 12 out of 12. Good banter, excellent coffee and not a bad location either.”

“What a hidden gem!! Super tender and crispy chicken and yummy sauces, also very reasonably low price for the portion you get! You can also order online and it only took 5min for my order to be ready :) Just an FYI I got the kimchi bowl which is the only bowl that doesn’t include steamed rice which I didn’t notice.”

“Stumbled upon this gem while on a road trip in Welly. We had the bibimbap and pork yukgaejang - blown away by the generous amount of ingredients in the dishes and the rich flavours. Even with the lack of variety in their side dishes, the main dishes compensated for it as they were packed with ingredients. Will revisit if passing by!”
