They charge me $20 for a half-full drink filled with ice. Their responses were very arrogant when I came a few months ago and the drinks weren't like that. A disappointment because the food is good. I've attached a photo of the same drink.

It was great food and nice reunion with great friend. Zac gave great service, attentive without smothering us. We each loved our shared plates, tacos, large plates and yummy desserts. I loved my cocktail. Afterwards enjoyed the show Amélia at Hannah Playhouse. Lots to see and do in this 'cool liddle' city. After that enjoyed a stroll along waterfront.

Visited this place with a group of friends for some catch-up drinks, having been away from Wellington for a while. The restaurant serves Mexican food, and everything we ordered was nicely prepared and full of flavor. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the atmosphere — it could be a bit more conducive for conversation (i.e. less of those loud bar music), especially for guests who walk in for dining. Overall, a great spot for good food, drinks, and friendly service!

Los Banditos: A Culinary Fiesta That Feels Like Home! Wow, what an unforgettable experience at Los Banditos! From the moment I stepped inside, I was swept up by the vibrant, warm atmosphere that reminded me of how much I love gathering with friends and family over great food and laughter. Atmosphere & Service The energy in the restaurant was contagious, bright, welcoming, and brimming with personality. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and went out of their way to make every detail feel special. It was clear they weren’t just serving food, they were creating an experience. Food That Sets the Soul on Fire Every dish we tried was bursting with bold, authentic flavours, perfectly balanced spices, fresh ingredients, and that unmistakable sense of care in each bite. It wasn’t just a meal; it was a celebration of vibrant flavours that left us wanting more. Why I Keep Going Back Los Banditos isn’t just another night out, it’s my go-to spot when I want to feel alive, connected, and inspired. Whether you’re looking for uplifting flavours, exceptional service, or simply a place that treats you like family, this is it. Highly, highly recommend: if you haven’t been yet, make a plan to go. You’ll walk away fuller, happier, and already plotting your next visit.

There's not many times I rate places highly, but this is one of those – A fabulous evening for our, sort of, party of five (one was takeout due to illness) Our recent visit was an absolute delight, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We were a party of five, and the quality of both food and service exceeded expectations. Mains Birria Tacos (2 orders): The beef was exceptionally tender and juicy, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Roasted Pepper Quesadilla: A standout dish with a perfectly crisp exterior, balanced by rich, melted cheese and tender roasted vegetables and fruits. Roasted Cauliflower: Simple yet delicious, this dish was well-seasoned and delicious. Chicken Quesadilla (Takeaway): Our youngest, who was unfortunately unable to join us due to a migraine, thoroughly enjoyed this dish at home. He said it was “really nice”. Sharing Plate Salsas and Dips with Corn Chips: A great starter for the table. The trio of dips was well-received, with the group informally ranking them 1-3 from left to right as presented in the picture. While the green dip was the least favoured, all were enjoyed and complemented the chips well. Desserts Churros (2 orders, 1 takeaway): These were a highlight. Both in-house and takeaway servings were praised for their crisp texture and were perfectly paired with chocolate and caramel sauces. In-House Special Sponge with Ice Cream (2 orders): A refined dessert with soft sponge and delicate flavours that matched beautifully with the ice cream. Overall, the experience was outstanding. The menu offered a limited, but wonderful variety, and each dish was crafted with care. We look forward to returning and highly recommend this restaurant to others.

Came in for the famous WOAP Burger Wellington for their what it looked like a good looking and decent sized chicken burger, but as you can see from pictures the chicken must have come from a baby chicken ie it's Tiny !! I'm not impressed one bit with their Bait advertising and no one has approached me asking if anything is wrong as I've not eaten it ! and I've been waiting for 15mins, but wait they finally did and they apologized about the tiny size of Chicken and made another that was was that Picture shows and that one was very tasty Yaa 1st time dining there.

Exceptional service and drinks, went for dinner with a big group of friends, Luna looked after us while Acacia was slinging cocktails at the bar. The food was great, birria tacos were my favorite. I would recommend 10/10

Tasty Tex/Mex food. Great cocktails. Excellent knowledgeable service. A tad on the expensive side for the offering but it's a fun night out and the decor is unique and interesting.

Things started out promising with a delicious selection of options on the menu. We immediately identified the Flaming Queso platter as the go-to option, a no-brainer given the inclusion of guacamole, nachos, fried chicken and the star of the show - flambé cheese. The corn special sounded ideal (and was). We paired this with a couple of cocktails, the Spicy One (which I politely declined the option of ‘extra spicy’) and a Peruvian Spritz. The cocktails were the highlight of the meal, including a fiery second dip El Chupababra. Unfortunately the food was a big letdown. The flaming cheese, while initially visually impressive, was thin and watery… or should I say vodka-y, as the overwhelming, overpowering flavour was of alcohol. Like full strength, rocket fuel alcohol. It was close to inedible. The fried chicken was also a disappointment, fried to within an inch of its life. Tough and stringy, it was another fail on the food front. The only saving grace was the corn (yum) and the chunky guacamole. I’d say go for the cocktails but eat elsewhere
