Local pub with various seating areas and most well known for its pizzas. The food offering is fairly standard bar menu. I had the fish and chips and it was a good portion and well prepared . Service was quick and friendly despite it being Sunday lunchtime. Overall this is a place worth coming back to.
We booked over the phone and got us a nice spot in a booth with awesome waitresses. The skewers were amazing and definitely I will be back just for them! My African friend said that the chicken skewers tasted like home. They were big fat juicy pieces of meat. I also enjoyed the fries, very generous and some great aioli! Also one of the best sundaes Iβve had, toasted hazelnuts with chocolate sauce! I deffinitley want to try the other sundaes. We did have pizza LANCASTER, really want to try the others :)
Had a great experience here. A casual relaxed place with great food and drinks. I had the vege pizza, it was amazing. The crust was just the right combination of crunchy and chewy, the toppings fresh and well chosen, perfectly cooked. We also had the Mediterranean chicken salad which was also fantastic.
Fantastic food and an atmosphere reminiscent of a British pub. The staff were superb and seated us immediately in an appropriately sized table. We were a large group celebrating a life well lived, and the experience was exactly what we needed. The hickory smoked barbecue wings were out of this world, the calamari perfectly cooked and the chicken and beef skewers top notch. The fries were a solid 8/10 according to my husband, crispy and very flavoursome. The beer selection is epic and we also loved the delicious ginger bear. I couldnβt find any changes to recommend, other than to open an Inn in Palmy so we can come more often. We will definitely return on our next trip to Wellington.

This restaurant can do no wrong. perfect design, amazing food, and just an awesome vibe. This place is my go-to when I am having a bad day because it is consistently quality food.
Absolutely fantastic for karori's lovely local Restaurant and bar.Fantastic service and delicious food for all.Highly recommend,do make reservations before hand,as yes it's popular.
Sometimes, local pubs are a bit hit and miss. I visited here maybe 10 months ago and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. My most recent visit - not so much. The service was good, attentive, and quick, but the food was very average. I don't think we'll return.
Ordered the buffalo hot wings and chips & dip. Cooked perfectly. Wings were crispy and coated with a perfect amount of sauce. A nice heat from the spiciness too. Chips were crunchy, golden brown and light and fluffy, and the dipping sauce was a great flavour. Will definitely be back again.
