Little Penang is one of the most authentic Nyonya Malaysian restaurants in Wellington. The flavours, environment, and cleanliness are all excellent, creating a very comfortable dining experience. The staff are also extremely friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Penang Char Kway Teow, Nyonya Curry, Hokkien Prawn Mee, and Penang Laksa β every dish was delicious and tasted truly authentic. Highly recommended β a must-try when youβre in Wellington!

Great for both dine in and take away. Food very delicious. Recommend their fired chicken drumstick, crispy, juicy and savory, not too oily or dry, very good. We order char kway teow every time.

The best Malaysian restaurant I've been to in NZ - easily beats the ones in Auckland. The restaurant was full when we arrived. We had to wait a few minutes but the staff kept us updated and cleared a table quickly for us. The portion sizes were big. We enjoyed the delicious dishes which reminded us of the authentic food we had when we travelled to Malaysia. We'll definitely return the next time we're back in Wellington!

We came for the signature clay pot rice but it wasnβt available. Still, the meal was enjoyable overall. The fried rice had lots of ingredients and was tastyβnothing mind-blowing but solid. The roti was especially good: buttery and flaky. The steamed fish parcel (otak-otak) had a nice eggy texture, like a fish omelette in a banana leaf, and came with a grated fruit salad. Friendly staff and easy online booking. Would return to try other dishes.

We came here with big group of friends and colleagues. We enjoy the food as many of them are very close to Indonesian food with similar level of spiciness. I have halal char kwe tiau and nyonya platter as well. I do enjoy salad kerabu and pasembur. We just had to wait a bit longer as we came together, although we had ordered our food in advance. We can also order halal food here. Parking during lunch hours can be challenging. The restaurant is accessible for those using wheelchairs. There are high chairs for the kids and toilet for disabled is also available

We always wanted try this place since itβs nearby. Place looked quite calm but really compacted when it started to fill. We went there as soon as they opened the restaurant. The chicken wings was soo oily and outside its hot and inside still can feel the chill. The worst nasi lemak I ever had, it was not really fresh. Also the Mee Siam was bit bitter and no flavored taste. We were totally disappointed and comparatively the prices are high. We didnβt finish the food and we didnβt even bothered to take home. Never gonna recommend this place. You canβt have the real Malaysian taste or vibe here.

Enjoyed the Roti & nyona chicken curry; however, needed an extra roti, as a single one wasn't enough. Wife had the Nasi Lamak with vege curry. Was pretty good but needed a little more spice and depth. Would visit again to try out the noodle dishes.
