Thyme had singha that's 5 stats enough for me. But the food was great too. It was busy and poor staff were hustling but still helped out with out issue. Great options on the menu
Their food is really yummy and you can adjust the spicy level. Love their curry puff and side sauce of chili oil. Curry puff is amazing of it taste and pastry is a perfect balance. The chili oil enhanced the flavours of my dishes. They only have one front of house in lunch time so once the table is full then there’s somehow need to wait little. But their meals come out quick from the kitchen.
They were great to give us a table on a busy night. The Thai green curry and black pepper beef were amazing. Although they were busy we still felt service was below par, my partner was nearly finished with her meal by the time my food arrived. Other than that I would definitely recommend as the food was excellent
This is what a real local Thai food tastes like that we have been looking for, even though it is not spicy enough for us, but the taste of the food is already yummmmmmmm! Each day they have a different special menu so check it up on the board if you would like to try something new.
Food was delicious. Service was good but we felt rushed . Never got offered a drinks menu and out water bottle ran out. Recommend they get more staff and more tables so it's a more relaxed dinner experience.
Very tasty! Got the mixed appies for 1 and pad Thai. The pad Thai wasn’t as good as I was expecting, but overall good meal. Service was average.
Went there today as couldn’t go to another Thai restaurant and was so glad I ended up there, best Thai food I’ve ever had in My life. The restaurant is small and a bit outdated looking but the food was so wonderful and delicious the flavour profile in the food was to die for. Added pork Rice the fried and they added so much meat. Will definitely go back again had the fried rice and beef noodle soup
Went to Somtumthai with my wife on an early Sunday night and had great service. The food tasted very authentic and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. We ordered the pad kra-pao with minced pork and a fried egg as well as pad see ewe with beef, both medium spicy. I must say that they definitely had a good kick to them and have a nice sweat but weren’t overly spicy, which was great. I would recommend both dishes. Portion sizes were fairly large, perfect to split between 2 people. I would recommend trying this spot when in Wellington. Wish we were here for longer so we could try more dishes.
Damn I really love this place haha The food are so authentic and some menus are only at this restaurant! The fried rice was a little bit saulty to me, but my boyfriend said it was good. And the beef soup was amazing I need this every week!!!!
Sharing plate tiny for 16.50 and the masaman curry was below average, meat very dry. I guess from Auckland standard one has to remove one star from rating by poor locals plus add 3-5 dollars to each item on the menu.
