“The place where I live is called Lynfield. In Lynfield, this Woolworth shop is definitely my go-to grocery store. Whenever I need to buy fresh produce or other stuff for cooking and also snacks, I always head to this supermarket. It's big, tidy and clean. Shopping in here is always a comfort. I love this shop. Today I bought Kumara, it was on sale. They were all in good quality.”

“Standard Countdown store. A little more expensive than Pak n Sav but conveniently located and plenty of parking. The APP is great, type into the List what you want and select the store you're in and it'll tell you which aisle your products are in.”

“Unbeatable supermarket, its location is the best - close to Auckland Airport and next to iBis hotel. This openly late night place offers you a wide range of both local and imported products., as well as fresh fruits, vegetables, and natural items. I, myself, bought a bunch of chocolate and some snacks as souvenirs home. Payment is through cash or credit card, self-service or by cashier assistance. A lot of parking space in front. “Woolworths (formerly known as Countdown) is always clean and tidy with good specials. They have a huge selection of different products. Spacious enough and you can check out your own groceries. They also offer cashier assisted shopping. The staff are wonderful and very friendly and helpful. They definitely need to get new signage lol so everyone knows what to call them.”

“They used to open 24 hours but now they close at 10p. Have a shared parking areas with McDonald's and the EV charger with plenty of parking spaces. The interior is modern and keeps up with the other Woolworth shops. Staff members are friendly, helpful and attentive,although sometimes it seems that there are hardly any staff in the shop.”

“Only Countdown store in Meadowbank, which is big, has plenty of options in every section for good price. Open seven days a week. They also have great collection of wine in the beverage section if your looking for any type of Alocohol. Definitely a good place for grocery shopping.”

“Ok supermarket, which is well presented. Plenty of car parking and centrally located in Rangiora. Countdown has a good variety of products. Reasonably priced with most of products that you will need. Good customer service at the check outs and reasonably easy to find assistance if you need help. This supermarket is an ok place to get what you need. Nothing brilliant stands out about this Countdown apart from it's a quite new building, so it is has a very good layout inside and outside.”

“I recently visited Woolworths St James in Rototuna, Hamilton, NZ, during the evening, and I was really impressed with the quality of the chilled and meat sections. I had a specific list of items I was looking for, and I ended up spending quite a bit of time in these areas, and I’m glad I did! The chilled section was exceptionally well-organized and stocked with a wide variety of fresh products. From dairy items like milk, cheese, and yogurt to fresh deli products, everything was easy to find, and the shelves were neatly arranged. I was particularly impressed by how well-maintained the section was, with everything from fresh salads to frozen meals displayed with great care. The staff was visible in this area, arranging items and making sure everything was in its proper place, but what stood out most was how friendly and helpful they were. Even though they were busy restocking and organizing, they still took the time to greet me and offered to assist when I had questions. Moving on to the meat section, I was equally impressed. The variety of cuts and types of meat was excellent, from premium steaks to sausages and fresh poultry. The staff in this section were very knowledgeable and approachable, offering me guidance on some of the best options for the meal I was planning. They were genuinely welcoming and made me feel comfortable asking questions, even as they were actively arranging the fresh meat on the shelves. Overall, my visit to Woolworths St James was a pleasant experience. The friendly staff in both the chilled and meat sections made the evening shopping feel personal and enjoyable. “This store has a really nice layout and stays reasonably well stocked. Our favorite thing about it, though, is it's fairly quiet and peaceful. A large discount store down the road attracts the big crowds, leaving this one surprisingly empty. It's always pleasant to walk in here and not be mushed in with throngs of people in the vegetable section as other stores funnel everyone in there. In Countdown you can start shopping in whatever isle you want. Refreshing!”

I prefer cashier checkout as I have a baby in my hands and always have a great experience with beautiful staff helping me at checkouts. But this last shop Sagar made my day. He was very friendly, he actually cared about my groceries so he packed them very well so nothing gets squished etc. He showed me how to use boosters in the app so I could receive more points and save more in the future. I really appreciate his service and will come back as these kind of days stay in the memory and brighten the week.”
