Huge space with an amazing collection for all ur hardware needs. Though the staff does seem a bit untrained about the products.

I think the bunnings in the mount HAS to be one of the top contenders for the worst bunnings in new zealand as a whole. Aint that crazy First thing is the workers there walk around like mindless zombies and if you approach them because god forbid they approach you, they look at you as if you’ve just committed a crime right in front of their eyes. Like deer in headlights. I asked a team member to help bring down some stock with their wave as their website is always showing they’ve got something in stock but magically never actually having it in store and thats super helpful considering I live on the complete opposite side of where the store is. Was told a team member would meet with me in the aisle but i should've known that was code for go home cause you’ll be standing in the aisle lunchtime till dinner. Had about 3 team members walk by, looking as miserable as ever and as always mute with all of them. Ended up walking out not even surprised by the service but more honestly disappointed in myself for actually expecting just an ounce of service or care from the staff there. Go in with very low expectations is all i’ll say and goodluck cause your patience and will to live will be tested

Bought a telescopic chainsaw and a battery with intend to trim tree branches. A subsequent use found the tool resulted in excessive vibration when trimming slender branches while holding the tool in low angle. While the Bunning service staff did advise that the tool was best used in a near vertical position because of its inherent weight, nothing was said about its tendency to induce vibration. The service staff refused to refund the tool and the battery until intervention by the manager. One star to the service staff and 5 stars to the manager.

A shout-out to the store cafe. Popped into Bunnings this morning to pick-up a few painting supplies. First stop was the cafe for my morning coffee fix. The area was immaculate, including the tables, enjoyed my latte and the passionfruit melting moment was delicious. Well done Bunnings Mt Maunganui.

Maree at the tool checkout could do with some better customer service. Gave the impression that she thought I was going to steal the toolkit set I was buying. Instead of racing towards someone with the scanner gun and then hiding behind the computer screens, maybe acknowledge them first.
