   What was wrong with the Indian woman at the self-checkout? My husband and I were buying a bottle of apple cider when she came over and asked for ID. My husband showed his, but she insisted on seeing mine as well, saying they needed to check the younger person’s ID. Of course, I hadn’t brought mine with me. I offered to show her a photo of my ID, but she said only a physical ID was acceptable. For the record, I’m 35. I thanked her for mistaking me for a teenager (Yay! Asian don’t raisin!!!) and wished her a Merry Christmas.

   The Indian women who looks the Indian character off Charlie and the chocolate factory , she supervises the checkouts is one of the rudest workers I have ever encountered at any Woolworths supermarket . I scanned a product put it down ( 25 products in ) it didn’t scan I went to rescan the item but the little light went off . She came over and I rescanned and it was ok , but she watched me like a hawk . Yes I’m Māori , I have over 600 rewards points accumulated for not even a full year , which goes to show how much I spend yearly instore for myself and business . Definitively considering taking my business to pak n save.

   Went in around 4:40pm 4:45pm ish on 21st August 2023. Was served by Jasmine. She was very rude and unfriendly. No "thank you" or "goodbye" not to mention she kept telling us to swipe the card when it literally says "scan your onecard here" or something like that. Had an AA card which has onecard on it as well. When telling my mother to do scan the card, Jasmine kept talking over top me. Sour look on her face like she didn't want to be there. Not impressed with the service from her.

   Difficult to gain entry into supermarket main carpark, with traffic at full stand still in most cases, backed up from the Major "Police Bridge" up to Bridge Street, with an oversized roundabout, twin lanes passing thru or around the intersection. But, single merge lanes upon entry and exit to this inspection. Extremely nonfunctional, continuous back - to - back traffic clogging. Avoid at all costs!!

   The first and last time I will use the click and collect service here at this Countdown. Very little care or attention to detail taken with my order. The milk was 2 days out from expiring. The punnet of strawberries was half full and near rotten. Just disappointed.

   Their shop and collect service is fast and easy. The online shopping Team is organize and the staff incharge explained what’s missing or out of stock on my orders. The packing slip will also have a short and sweet message from the team. Kudos to you all.

   Big branch of Countdown in town here. Easy to get access. Lots of parking space. Various kinds of snacks to grab. Wide shelf of daury products. Hot promotion for many types of products such as chocolate bar, that's why the shelf almost wiped out. Good service and helpful staff.
