   COUNT WORTHS ... AKA WOOL DOWN ... or whatever their calling the place this week is my preferred place to grocery shop ... Because they have staff that are abundant , available , friendly helpful & kind ... The specials are often far better value than the others . The policy of refund & replacement is seldom called upon but when it is the result is immediate which insures customer satisfaction . The wheelchair one may borrow suits this old biker who enjoys visiting his friends that are friends

Parking is convenient, with the store having its own covered parking lot—a nice perk, particularly in bad weather. If that lot is full, there’s always the larger mall parking area nearby, so finding a spot isn’t usually an issue. Overall, Woolworths at Queensgate is a reliable and convenient option for grocery shopping. It’s not without its busy moments, but it gets the job done efficiently, making it a practical choice for shoppers in the area.

   I make regular online orders with what was Countdown, now Woolworths. It’s usually with the central Lower Hutt store but recently Queensgate due to the availability of the pick up. Never again! On Sat 24 Aug I picked up my order. Went to prepare a meal the next day using the chicken mince and saw that it said best before 24 Aug. so that made the chicken mince already expired on the day I collected it. Not good, it could make me sick! But decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and emailed asking how I swap it for a fresh pack. They didn’t acknowledge me at all. So 3 days later I asked for a refund, because clearly they don’t care about their customers and making it right. A week later, still no acknowledgment or refund. So now it’s actually theft as they didn’t provide the goods or my money back. Which I’m going to have to follow up. I’m making this post so people know to check what they get in their online purchases and maybe think if this a good enough service given they don’t care about health and safety or customer rights. New World or Pak n Save going forward for me!

   I shop here in the mornings alot. I got a pizza slice from the bakery and there's a Samoan lady at self checkout who helped me select the correct option. I nearly purchased the whole pizza bread option. Thank you so much!

   Handily located as a part of the mall. Not as big as the one by the waterfront but the parking here means on a busier day at the mall doing your groceries here can save you time hunting around for a mall park.

   A wide range of products is there. But I am not satisfied with the bakery, for example, the toast bread options are very low if you compare them with other shops. And most of the time Eggs are out of stock. I think they need to consider the basic necessity items. Rest options for other items are fine.
