“We came to the Christchurch airport Bunnings store after having abysmal service (ie none) at the Tower Junction store. The service at the airport branch was really good, very helpful and attentive and we were able to find everything we needed. After purchasing a number of very large items for our outdoor lounge furniture, a young man helped my husband load the items onto the roof of our car and stayed to check everything was ok. We were impressed with the service here and would choose this store over others which are closer to us.”

I gave them a call to order items, which were unable to be purchased through click and collect, for a colleague who is based near Whakatāne - for pick up in a couple of hours. The staff members who I dealt with were more than accommodating, taking my order over the phone and allowing me to pay for it over the phone, also. The whole time, they kept me informed of next steps. This is service that is rarely received, these days. But the staff at Bunnings Whakatāne, I felt, went above and beyond with my interaction.
