I was served by a delightful young man named Shiloh who was very kind and understandable with me. It's good to see that this generation still has some very bright individuals that still act this way to the elderly. 10/10, would shop here again and if possible this young man deserves a raise.
Staff were hopeless. They didn't even want to help us. Lucky the staff at hunting and fishing had told us were we could find before we got to Bunnings
The staff at Bunnings are very helpful. I gave them a call to order items, which were unable to be purchased through click and collect, for a colleague who is based near Whakatāne - for pick up in a couple of hours. The staff members who I dealt with were more than accommodating, taking my order over the phone and allowing me to pay for it over the phone, also. The whole time, they kept me informed of next steps. This is service that is rarely received, these days. But the staff at Bunnings Whakatāne, I felt, went above and beyond with my interaction. Love Bunnings, however not all the flower plants were clearly named, for a beginner planter would struggle to find the flowers they wanted.
Service at the paint counter was poor today. Maybe the team was all on lunch, 3 people waiting for help and nobody to help. Rest of the store is top notch
I was given advice on selecting a pot of paint for a bedroom of standard size...I was told that the advised pot of paint would be enough to do 2 rooms...In actual fact the pot of paint wasn't enough to cover a single room and left it very patchy...I have to now purchase another pot...it leaves me wondering if this was a marketing strategy.
Awesome place. You could spend days here. Staff are wonderful and helpful.

This has to be the most unhelpful store I have been too. Sadly staff to busy talking. Also some don’t want to help just turn their back on you and walk away. Unlike Rotorua and Tauranga branch which are outstanding.. Though Whakatane is my local. I prefer to go else where
This place is very easy to find what you need. I can walk in and I'm greeted with a polite attitude and a smile. Very good customer service as well. Prices are very good as well. Would recommend this place for anyone. Awesome. Hope everyone else's experience is same as mine.
