“After reading some of the appalling reviews I had to leave something positive. The staff here are always pleasant and the lady behind the counter in particular is always friendly, and has been for the past few years I've been coming here. It has a lot of the things we might need without having to go further to the supermarket, and I've never once witnessed any even remotely negative behaviour by any of the staff. The prices are slightly higher than the supermarket conglomerate but exactly what you'd expect from a local superette. Never once had an issue with anything we've bought or any of the people working here.”

“Honestly everyone reviewing here needs to visit literally any other subway in Auckland to understand that what we have on the coast is essentially the gold standard. Every time I have visited this subway it has been top notch. The staff is friendly, fast and every sub I have purchased here looks like the photo off the board. Subway isn't the cheapest fast food option out there so I expect to get what I pay for. I can honestly say that you get more than what you pay for here. There’s a decent spread of food which is kept topped up with fresh items and the free pour drinks are never left running low either. All the seating is comfortable with plenty of electric sockets throughout, with good views out of the large windows. Nice decor throughout with some pleasant reading available makes it relaxing as well as functional and the bathroom facilities are clean. Best of all are the informative yet entertaining announcements made by the front desk - I’ve never been kept so well informed during delays and there’s no chance of you getting to the gate too early, or indeed late, with the key information they share - brilliant service! “Thank you so much to the kind Indian gentleman who was working solo today at 2pm when I popped in to collect my daughter's online order. My car keys and alarm holder had fallen apart and he "creatively" helped me fix it back by using some price tags to temporarily hold it in place. Then I realised I had missed inserting the battery back and found it in my car, he again helped me with it plus pushing my car back into place (as I had partially reversed it before it died). All in all, it was a busy and hot day but he made it so much easier. Much appreciated that he was calm, polite and smiling all the time.”

Immediately upon exiting the international arrivals area, you’ll find this popular, relaxed, casual spot to grab a small quiche, a muffin or chia pudding. They offer soy, almond, coconut and oat milk for coffee drinks. They don’t make their drinks too sweet. You’ll find recyclable utensils and straws. Service is accurate, efficient and friendly. And they sell alkaline water in plant based reusable bottles. My tummy enjoyed the kombucha with ginger and turmeric. Way to go!”
