Only the lady who served me was a redeeming feature. She was lovely. I ordered a coffee, she wasn’t sure it was available, so asked someone and it wasn’t. I ordered a coke and small fries. Overcooked cool fries, and flat cool iceless coke. Fun times!!!
Sat waiting in the drive through line for over 45 mins with only 3 cars in front of me, the restaurant was completely empty so they weren’t exactly busy. Finally got to place my order with the teenager who spoke so quietly i could barely understand him. Then had to park up and wait a further half an hour for my cold food to be given to me. Saw over 15 uber eats drivers collect orders while i sat waiting. Absolute joke.
It needs to be said. Over the space of almost 3 months, they've mucked up my drive-thru order 5 times, you'd think they were pulling a practical joke gone old. It's a waste of time and petrol, and finding stuff like a Sausage & Egg McMuffin with no egg, a cheeseburger missing when I got dinner for my young nephews (one was crying because they were starving), is getting ridiculous. There's multiple complaints from others too regarding drive-thru issues, combined with a blasé attitude from majority of the employees when distributing the bags through the window, as if they can't be stuffed on doing their job properly and just want their shift to be over and done with.
I guess I can't leave two reviews so I will update my latest and last visit to this as I won't be eating there again. First complaint: Cheeseburger: Sauce Cheese Meat patty Advertisement shows more than what I got as seen in photos Called to complain, was told cheeseburgers dint come with onion or pickles. Disappointing UPDATED: SECOND COMPLAINT 15/10/2024 I ordered a Mac attack Pulled this strand of hair out of my mouth after the third bite of my burger. The dark strand is my hair the light one is what came from my big Mac (shown in photos) Service was great but please wear hair nets thats a burger i cant eat and money i loose.
Place was dirty. Acceptable floor as it was raining but tables chairs playground dirty. Staff rude. Told child to shut up because they did not like singing. Food fresh but slapped together. Service slow, short of staff?
You can't judge McDonald's like other restaurants. You have to judge each location on its own merits. McDonald's Hastings is big with comfortable areas away from the playground. It also has plenty of room near the playground for parents and caregivers to watch their kids. And, the place is almost always busy.
Today we visited Hastings McDonald's and was the worst visit ever. It took nearly 1/2 an hour for our food and even longer for the burger they forgot about. There was plenty of staff around but only one poor girl running around like a headless chicken taking peoples orders in the restaurant and seving people at the counter. It was also really hot in there today too, no air con going. Worst experience in a McDonald's we have had. The only good thing was a lovely staff member Rangi that helped my Mum with her forgotten burger, thankyou very much to her!
It's just a Mc Donald's... nothing different about it really. The food is acceptable, the service is acceptable. One repeated issue I have with them is out of the 3 times I've been there in the last 6 months, their playground has twice smelt very strongly of urine. And the staff seem to not be sure what to do. Just put a closed sign on the door. Most people would prefer a closed playground, rather than have to go into the playground, only to have a highly disappointed child when you then decide to not let them play on it cause it reeks.
Absolutely filthy. Food and rubbish everywhere. Playground absolutely stinks and even the tables are just grubby. Gross.
