   Everyone has a Malone's story on Waiheke. It can be a lively place where the number of eyes a person has outnumber the remaining teeth they have on display but the main issue here is the owner. The first time I went in I ordered a Guinness and the owner left my pint behind the bar for ten minutes while she was finishing her poker game. She then huffed and puffed when I ordered a second pint as it was apparently an imposition for her to do her job. Another time we were in there at 5pm and were drinking for 90 mins when she came over said "there's a band on at 7 so if you want to stay we will have to charge you a cover charge to see the show." We said we didn't want to see the band so could we sit outside and free up these seats for paying patrons to marvel at the local talent. She said we could still hear the band from outside and therefore we would need to pay. So, we went elsewhere and never returned.

   Live Saturday night music...well if that isn't fala advertising, I don't know what is. The owner is rude, and clearly doesn't care about customers at all. We walked in on a Saturday night as a group of 20, the pub was empty, and we were treated very poorly. First time we were there and we will never go back. While curiosity doesn't kill the cat, trying Malones out may kill your vibe....

   “Live Saturday” music consists of Spotify and a mic. Owner is not friendly at all and very bad service.

   THE Worst Irish pub I have ever been in. ITA THE OWNER, is the most ignorant person I have ever met, not friendly, not welcoming and most certainly not a people's person. I have never left a review before but I felt the need to let people know not to use this premises.

   Genuine Irish pub, central location. Wine was expensive and the mixers were cheap 90c fizzy. Fine to hang out in for a while.

   Menu was minimal, bar person, (possibly the owner) was rude and unfriendly. On arival she said to us, I will be with you shortly. But we watched her check her mobie phone. "no honey you finish your text, I will wait for you, before I'll order drinks" Asked about the menu. The menu is not very big and some of the items were not available. Ordered drinks and the bar ladie was rude and unengaging, didn't even look at me, then held the eftpos machine out infornt of me for payment as she was turned away talking to another customer. Tables are sticky, pergola looks like it about to fall down and the place looks really rundown.

   Omg - if you’re going to close early, update the time on Google. Time and time again I try to bring people to your pub and I get met by an angry owner with an abrupt ‘no, we’re closed’! Just sort your opening hours on Google and stop being such a strop when people arrive after paying money on waiheke taxis to get to you and then be turned away after trying to spend money with you! It’s infuriating!!!!!!!!!
