Portions quite large. Quiet on a weekday. OK but wellington wins out for atmosphere and generally better variety and taste.
I used to skip this restaurant because of its low rating, but it completely surprised me — I was wrong! This is my second time trying their dim sum, and I felt compelled to write a review. The portions are generous with plenty of fillings, and everything tastes fresh and absolutely delicious. The salted egg yolk custard bun is a must-try, and the polo char siew bun were tasty. ( Sorry, the photos of the buns weren’t attached.)
Absolutely terrible service at the Restaurant. We went for yum char and tried to order a couple of vegan dishes for two of our guests. The man boss serving was very rude, and implied that they have no time to cater for vegans/vegetarians…and he was too busy serving from his trolley to take an order. The lady boss was just as bad pretending she did not understand English…and after we got a friend to translate the order, the food did not come out for 45 minute. We had to chase up a couple of times, and she had the gall to argue that… “you NOT been waiting 40 minutes, it only 30 minutes…food come soon!” If you are not vegan/vegetarian, come and try this place, but just take from the trolley whatever comes around…the food is so slow and variety is so lacking that I’m surprise they get any repeat business. Do not expect service, let alone good service…we had to chase them for a refill of our tea pots, and if your table is not strategically placed, you will get no food by the time the trolley comes around. Never again at this dump!
Ordered food last night through Uber eats. It is the worst food I've eaten in a loooonnng time. We got Orange beef which was repulsive, we couldn't even eat the tiny portion we got. Then the spring rolls, nearly vomited after eating, so oily and nasty. Spat it out after it gave me the ick. Absolutely disgusting!!!!
Stayed one night in the hotel. The location was good and the wifi worked well. The staff were friendly. The toilet did not flush well, we were told we couldn’t change rooms despite not seeing any other guests. The TV was also very blurry and jumpy making it impossible to watch.

The food is soooo good and inexpensive. We had 12 dishes and it only cost $33 each person. Every dish is delicious. Amazing custard tart! We all walked out happily and very full
We went here for Yum Cha today. The food was great, quick and friendly service. Reasonably priced .
This Restaurant is by far the worse in the country. We went in first time for yumcha & seeing that it was not available during the week decided to order just tea instead. Then before leaving the manager we assume, had the audacity to try & guilt trip us about our order not breaking even his profit? How dare you! You're lucky we even order something, and he argued they're not a coffee shop yet sells hot drinks...It's not our problem you're not making money but I can see why, pathetic customer service, short tempered, disgusting hospitality attitude!! This is one of those places you wanna stay away from, absolutely not recommended to anyone unless they wanna be guilt tripped here...If there's a zero star you'll get it. First time & definitely the last time. Never again!!!!!
Normally we love coming in to Riddiford, but today was something else. We waited 10 minutes before getting served which was okay, but we were then ignored for a total of 22 minutes (we timed it) before getting a tiny plate of food. We were completely ignored by every staff member, they didn’t offer us anything until we pulled people aside asking for specific things. Overall we ate three things over an hour and a half and one of those things we had to ask for. We continued to be ignored for the rest of our stay, while new tables of people were being sat and served consistently. Not too sure what happened there, but seriously, do better.
