“Literally feels like we're on a Windows wallpaper. Green everywhere. Sheeps cows and a wonderful view.”
“Really impressed by the recent planting stormwater management and board walk construction. The new bridge is really nicely designed. It's a shame they haven't completed an upgrade of the loop track which would create a longer walk but the track on the west side is in poor condition and not recommended. You can join it up with the middle section of the Hobson Bay walkway to create a longer walk.”
“Great staff at reception. Excellent interiors, very nice auditorium. Parking & entrance a bit disturbed due to recent road closure & diversion. Lovely art & gallery too. Very happy to see such a nice community centre.”
“Lovely park and thanks Darren from Citycare (on behalf of Auckland Council ) for taking care of the gardens. Emaculate”
“A great place, but come early like before 9am .... Fruits, veggies are really cheap but check and compare prices as they are surprisingly different from stall to stall !”
“Had a great night, Food was amazing, and great service, crispy Squid tentacles were delicious with a chillie sauce and the seafood Ka ta was also delicious. Will be back more often. Gigi and staff thank you for the great food.”
“Great fields. Dry and well maintained soccer fields”
“Good! Get fresh air and excellent skyline city views.”
“I had an unforgettable experience at this sushi restaurant! The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious—each bite was a burst of flavor and beautifully presented. What truly set this place apart, though, was the staff. Every member of the team was exceptionally kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and taken care of throughout our meal. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of outstanding food and warm, friendly service.”
“Had our grad here and nice historical clean venue”
“Have been trying to find a decent park in the area. Highly recommend this. We brought our 3 kids here for fish n chips and a play. They have outdoor exercise machines. And the playground is super fun. Also nice place to have a picnic.”
“Herne Bay Beach is a lovely little beach in Auckland. On 14/10/2023, we went to Herne Bay Beach for a relaxing walk. Unfortunately, the weather was not so good and we didn’t enjoy much there. We will definitely go there again on a sunny day at Easter and recommend you to go there if you live in Herne Bay or happen to drive past there.”
“Nice park, ample parking. Great for kids. Cool as playground as well as a flat area to cycle and play on. Nice walkway by the stream.”
“Oakley Creek Waterfall in New Zealand is a hidden gem that offers a breathtaking escape into nature. The picturesque waterfall cascades gracefully down a rocky cliff, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flora, creating a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation and reflection. The well-maintained walking trails leading to the waterfall make it accessible for visitors of all ages, and the sound of the rushing water adds to the tranquility of the experience. Whether you're an avid hiker or simply looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy the beauty of New Zealand's landscapes, Oakley Creek Waterfall is a must-visit destination that leaves a lasting impression.”
“What an amazing fun experience! You walked in you would feel you were in a different place! Just make sure you know the car park is not beside the building. The car park is on the right hand of the top! If you read the sign on the building you will see it”
“Had a great time today at Lilliputt. Arrived about 12.30pm. No wait time at all, played both courses stopping for lunch in between. The food was fabulous and came out quickly. The courses are really well done and look forward to coming back again soon!”
“Really great experience shopping there and the Indian gentleman are really helpful and friendly pretty good product range and experience there will definitely back again”
“Safe place to walk and let the kids play.”
“I’ve taken my kids to Auckland Adventure Park a few times and they absolutely love the luge and the 4D cinema! It’s a fantastic place for children aged 4 through to teens. For younger kids—especially those in preschool and primary school—it’s an amazing venue for birthday parties. Their castle-themed party room is a real highlight, perfect for children who love medieval and knight-themed adventures. For older kids, the zipline and VR games offer plenty of excitement too. Highly recommended for a fun family day out or a memorable birthday celebration!”
“Good experience today. Bought bagels last night and got home to find a small spot of mould even though they were perfectly in date. Took them back today no receipt but could tell them what time I purchased, I assume they checked cctv/logs, but they replaced with no drama and even gave me a second batch free. Well done New World”
“We visited Crystal Mountain during the week ( school term ) it is a great place with lots to offer and very unusual and interesting things to see. It boasts A Crystal Museum and store, Huge indoor play area, two cafes, carousel rides and a roller coaster, interesting animals, large dinosaur statues and more... Lots of free parking on-site . Ideal for all ages and for kids birthday parties. You get to Interact with most animals and feed them (the animal food is sold at the main entrance Cafe) The indoor play area includes 3 rides ( Carousel, teacup and train), a jumping castle plus a Massive activity area and a separate play area for toddlers Outside activities includes a train ride, roller coaster and tractor ride. The two cafes have a variety of food on their menu and is child friendly, one cafe is situated at the main entrance and the other at the indoor play area. The staff are super super kind ,friendly , interactive and helpful. We noticed a few of the staff cover alot of responsibility of the park and even with all that responsibility they still made our visit so much more fun. A huge thanks to the amazing team namely the young lady that does the train ride and sees to the animals, the young gentleman that operates the indoor rides and oversees the indoor play area and the helpful lady at the cafe who took the time to explain all that we needed to know so that we made the most of our time there. The Crystal Museum store sell so many beautiful and unusual items. Cons: The Main cafe food is substandard but cheap, we didnt try the food at the play area Cafe. When we bought our tickets on Grab One we ensured we bought the full access tickets there was no mention that during the school term week the Rollercoaster and tractor rides do not operate, we only found this out at the cafe counter when we handed our tickets in. I will definitely be going back.”
“Definitely our favourite Indian restaurant. The service impeccable, the staff are just great friendly and helpful, they know their food, the food is outstanding and the atmosphere pleasant and warm. From start to finish the experience is spot on. Tonight we had the Gol Gapa, Gilafi Seekh Kebab, Lamb Madeas and the waiter surprised me with a traditional chicken curry that’s not on the menu, and holy moly! It was outstanding! I don’t know how these guys make the sauces that accompany some of the dishes but they are A-MAZING!!! The chilli the sweetness, everything is perfectly balanced. I can’t rave enough about the food here. If you want a great Indian experience with amazing service go and see these guys.”
“I will try to leave the most honest opinion possible for future travelers. after having stayed in many hostels in Auckland Hit Hostel is definitely the hostel where I felt the best.. There are inevitably things that can be unpleasant like the fact of not having windows in the rooms, but the spaces common areas completely fill this gap because they make us feel like we are in a large shared accommodation/ Flat where it is easy to meet people because it is a small hostel. the staff and the types of travelers who stay there are great. The staff do their utmost to keep the place clean even if unfortunately the cleanliness of a hostel also depends on the cleanliness of the travelers staying there at a given time and these are factors that we cannot control.. In any case price/quality ratio Hit hostel is the best you can find.”
“Serene and beautiful waterfall. A peaceful escape from the city hidden away just a five minute walk into the bush. The perfect spot for a walk or quick getaway.”
“Great place to enjoy yumcha. It is located in Auckland CBD, huge variety of food to choose. Lovely staff, and very fair price. Their dimsum was made freshly, and the desserts were also great.”
“Great guide, collected from the airport. Really knowledgeable of the area.”
