   On Thursday I went to Countdown Northcote and Takapuna trying to buy a nice Christmas Hamper, no one wanted to help until I went to New World Metro Shore City where 2 people exceeded my expectations with outstanding service, although they did not have a Hamper, they made one for me to collect on Friday. It was absolutely beautiful and and even carried it (it was large) to my car ... these staff members went over and above to provide superior service, Merry Christmas and best wishes to you all.    Always cleaned and tidy. Need more staff at cashier and watching the shoplifters. The pay your own checkouts left with rubbish and receipts hanging out of machine, common guys how hard and time consuming would it be to clean up after yourself

   Good experience today. Bought bagels last night and got home to find a small spot of mould even though they were perfectly in date. Took them back today no receipt but could tell them what time I purchased, I assume they checked cctv/logs, but they replaced with no drama and even gave me a second batch free. Well done New World

   It’s like an outlet store but not really a great concept when it comes to food just full of all the forgotten stuff and marked up prices. It’s not even that convenient tucked away at the back at Shore City.. so you don’t discredit this review thinking I’m Mr. Negative it’s a nice door set up and the staff seemed super friendly. .

   Sorry, but really disappointed. The filled rolls from the deli were stale, as was the bread I purchased. Also, the best before date on the milk suggested it had been there for quite some time prior to me purchasing it. Having said that, the steak was very good, so there is that. You're going to have to provide fresher options if you want people to make this a regular place for them to come to.
