This is Frenchman's Cap not Fin Rock Island. I'm fairly certain the French aren't too worried about it.

Beautiful spot.... Kotanui Island, also called Frenchmans Cap = Fin Rock Island, is a sharp triangular rock rising from the water is about 900+ meters from Matakatia Beach shoreline.... Very clean safe and grt beach for family BBQ/Picnic & swimming! Friendly neighbourhood & it was not to busy on New Years Eve day 2022. Only one unisex toilet and small changing room as well as outside shower wit cold water...but clean & good.

1, it is not now , nor ever has , been called Fin Rock Island. It is an islet called Kotanui....
