“Very cool park. Great playground at one end of the park and a cool looking hide out/ tunnel/ ex-cannon place. Would have loved to use the stairs to go down the beach, but it was closed off. Looking straight ahead, you can enjoy Rangitoto island. A cool fact I just searched up, this park is named after American president John F. Kennedy.”

The field is flat and the grass is evenly cut, which makes the game more enjoyable without any unexpected bounces or surprises. There’s also plenty of parking on both sides of the ground, making it easy for players and spectators to park their cars. The surrounding area is green and open, adding to the nice atmosphere of the place. Overall, it’s a great spot for cricket matches, practice sessions, or even just a casual game with friends.”

It connects to opuneke stream walk if you want to do a longer stretch- not much shade in summer on the long stretch but should be good when it’s evening or a bit cloudy. The Henderson park itself has got some good parking, walkways, picnic benches and frisbee playing facilities. You can watch piwakawa, tui here as well.”
