“I'm going on an adventure! While researching and planning our adventure through Middle Earth, we stumbled across Red Carpet Tours. I was slightly skeptical of a one stop shop but am so glad I booked with them. The entire experience was magical. Not only did we get to visit some iconic LOTR and Hobbit locations (as well as recreate some monumental scenes), we had the opportunity to see and hear about countless other parts of both the north and south islands of New Zealand. Julie and her team planned everything perfectly and made the trip entirely effortless. If you're an LOTR enthusiast or hard core Tolkien nerd, this is the tour for you. If you want to meet awesome people and see beautiful sites, this is the tour for you. If you wanna eat, drink and be merry, this is the tour for you. Basically this is the tour for everyone! “Very fun little swimming hole at low tide. Actually gets pretty deep in some spots, but be careful of rocks that are sharp at the bottom. It warms up at the peak of low tide but as the waves start coming over as the tide rises, it gets cold.”

Your tongue gets super excited and buzzes....it is like a culinary orgasm...so you better wait at least half a minute before you take another bite. And prepare for surprises everything will taste differently than you expect to.And every little detail from plate to arrangement is very expertly chosen.And really you have to allow 2.5hrs for the full 7 dish menu....you can't rush it or you spoil it. So even if outside looks very simple and you would not expect for such a restaurant in that place prepare for Michelin macromolecular type of cuisine to delight you. “Had a great lunch stop on the way to the airport on Tuesday. The range of GP beers is always a selection dilemma, but settled on a February Fresh IPA... delicious. Enjoyed a great VEGAN masala toastie. Guys you really need to refresh the menu and add more plant-based choices!”

“Cornwall Park looks absolutely stunning during cherry blossom season! The trees are full of delicate pink blooms, and it’s such a peaceful, scenic place to walk around or take photos. However, it can get very crowded on weekends with lots of people doing photoshoots. I’d suggest visiting on a weekday or early morning if you want a quieter experience and better photos. Definitely worth the visit!”

“Fantastic experience for locals and tourists alike. The pricing is very fair considering what’s involved. You’re given a fair choice of courses to partake in to suit all ages. The courses are various, which keeps it interesting no matter your skill level or confidence with heights. At heights varying from 1 to 10 metres, you’ll have to go through tunnels, across beams, weave in between posts or even just walk the tightrope with nothing but a cable to keep your balance. Highly recommend the day out.”

“Visited this morning and spent 2-3 hours doing the loop (probably only takes 30 mins) but was took my time taking pictures and picking my jaw off the floor from the views. The loop does loop around to and from the car park. I saw a review suggesting women don’t go alone but I did and felt safe on the trail. The views are incredible and the loop itself isn’t hard, just some incline and decline. Had service the whole loop, it was clean and beautiful! Absolutely recommend.”

“The rocky area is beautiful and there are many natural birds here. Nearby is a long wide beach, strong wind. There are many parking areas around, can park camvan. From the parking lot to the view point is quite close and easy to walk. Pay attention: Dogs, other animals and pets are prohibited at all Auckland Council regional parks' bookable sites and accommodation. The exception is registered aid dogs. You will need to advise our staff at time of booking if you have a registered aid dog for an exemption. Dogs are allowed in regional parks only as stated in the dog walking section of the park's information and in the Regional Parks Management Plan. All other animals are prohibited at all times, unless you have a permit issued by Auckland Council. Our regional parks are smoke-free.”

“Maukatia Bay is a hidden gem on the Whangaparāoa Peninsula. The views across the water to Auckland are absolutely stunning—perfect for photos, especially at sunrise or sunset. It's a peaceful spot, ideal for a relaxing day out. We were hoping to spot some birds, but it seems we were there during the off-season, so no luck this time. Still, the scenery made up for it! The only downside was the wind—it was quite breezy when we visited, so make sure to bring a jacket if you're planning to stay for a while. Overall, Matakatia Bay is a beautiful and tranquil spot that's well worth a visit.”

“Absolutely brilliant! Highly recommend the coastal track if you’re up for a challenging hike! We got the 9:30 ferry over to Rangitoto and the 2:30 ferry back, but it was rushed. Would have instead booked the 3:30 ferry back to give time to go for a swim in beautiful water too!”
