“The park has open grassed fields good for playing Rugby. And trees along the Road side, and is a short walk from the Ellerslie shops and train station. A small playground, car park, tennis courts, toilets, sports fields, and seating are inside the park and a Public toilet.”

“The Chinese Lantern Festival was a mesmerizing experience filled with vibrant colors, intricate lantern displays, and cultural festivities. Walking through the illuminated pathways adorned with beautifully crafted lanterns was truly enchanting. The variety of shapes and designs showcased the rich heritage and craftsmanship of Chinese culture. The atmosphere was lively with traditional music, dance performances, and delicious food stalls offering a taste of authentic Chinese cuisine. It was a magical evening that left a lasting impression, perfect for families and friends to enjoy together.”

“Just love this bush walk. The longest track is 2h45m- Gibbons. Much of the bush is the same but I'd say it's well worth the walk. The caves track is not too far. Perhaps in 20 mints ,it can be completed. The end of this walk is met by 4 caves, the last of which is huge.”

“This was a location suggestion, I took the photos ages ago with my family, I'm not too sure where it is, but I do know that it was a real cool place. I also remember a prison near the place.”

“We had the best family holiday break staying in the motel units at Orua bay, despite the weather. The lovely hosts made us so welcome and catered to our every need. The extended family especially enjoyed family games of cricket on the lawn when the weather cleared, the setting was amazing and well worth the drive out. Thankyou so much for making this a wonderful family weekend away.”

“Love love love this little gem of a place on herald island, there is only one way in and one way out so it's not possible to get lost, enjoyed the walk and our dog just loves it there there's playground access for the kids as well as free bbq area so is a lovely place for a afternoon picnic”

“We'd been dreaming of lava tunnels for years, so were so happy to get this under our belts. In fact, Rangitoto island could have easily kept us busy for two days, rather than the one we spent here. We didn't even have time to walk across to Motutapu island. Look, it is an old volcano, and you can see the bit that the lava came bursting out of just a few hundred years ago on google maps. Visit the summit, it's an ancient treasure; full of trees now but previously a fiery mouth, spewing molten rock at a temperature of 1500 C. I think it's amazing that this was going on while Salisbury Cathedral was being erected on the other side of the world. It is all well-signed, but from the wharf, take the summit track and then a brief diversion three-quarters of the way up. Bit of a scramble in and through, but it's well worth it; a mobile phone torch is all you need. Remember to look at the walls and appreciate the fact that just a few hundred years ago, searing basalt flows were gurgling through this very tunnel....... In geological time, that ain't very long ago... As an aside, study some geology; it is amazing. Especially if you are a bit religious and think the planet was only created 6,000 years ago and looks like it does now because of a big flood and that Emperor penguins swam all the way across the equator to the Levant to get on a big wooden boat. You definitely need a bit of education if you believe that.”

“We were looking for a Thai close to where we are, and we found this place. The food was very nice, authentic, flavourful, and fresh. They have a comprehensive selection of traditional Thai food. The atmosphere was good and the service friendly.”

“Great take away Indian food. A good amount of chicken in the dishes and more than enough sauce for just the one lot of rice. Butter chicken is my partners go to but I enjoy this one because it's not too sweet like some of the butter chickens from the malls. Naan is made fresh in the tandoori oven. The spicy dishes could be spicier but we'll definitely be back next time we're craving Indian. The guys there are super nice too.”
