“Went here with the family and it was super delish, ordered the lamb shanks and it was so tender. The sides you help yourself once your recieve your meal and there were good side choices available. Prices are reasonably cheap. Tea and coffee also available”
“The loveliest experience. Very nice staff and the food is delicious. $7 happy hour (5-7.30pm) beers and $12 cocktails too! I think it may be newer owners as the food is Indian and Pizza now which seems different to earlier reviews. They were also more than happy to make us a vegan meal. A must do if coming to Spark Arena. Well definitely be back”
“Haven't been here in years was super impressed with everything. Love the layout & different themes for each seated area, such a great idea to uncorporate a Library never seen that in a restaurant before, it adds a lovely homely feel, my favourite would have to be the Whiskey Lounge, the decor makes you feel you've stepped back in time. Food was fantastic had the classic kiwi steak meal cooked to perfection & our host MJ, what a delightful, courteous human. She certainly knows that menu inside out, very precise, certainly don't get fabulous service like that anymore, thank you MJ. Had a very enjoyable & memorable evening, definitely recommend coming here.”
“Great service - really enjoyed the Soup of the day - potato and Ham. Comfortable place with a good atmosphere. totally recommend.”
“Katsubi Rosedale has started selling beautiful and delicious baked goods - including scones, cakes, cookies, and more! Everything looks amazing and tastes even better. I highly recommend trying some of their fresh bakes when you visit. It’s also a great spot to enjoy a coffee with a cupcake or treat on the side. Don’t miss it!”
“I was there this afternoon for a quick coffee, but the friendly manager convinced me to have a snack/meal too, seeing as I was clearly eyeing the cabinet food! When I said the meals on the menu looked too big, she offered to make me a half portion, which was very thoughtful. The half portion was not only generous (it looked like a full portion) but also delicious. It was the chicken salad on the lunch menu. Fresh, and well made. The manager also offered me some honey to add to my ginger tea - She could tell my voice was hoarse and throat hurting. I really enjoyed the personalised, warm service. I was also given the wifi password without asking - I'm not sure what else I could ask for in terms of service and food quality! I've always been here for desserts after dinner (I LOVE their cabinet sweets) but this was my first lunch visit and and it was really fulfilling. Definitely coming back here! Cheers”
“I’ve been going there since 2010. Never had any problems with my food. Always loved their sirloin steak with salad and chips. You get the best meal for a good affordable price.”
“Authentic Cantonese style Yum Cha ! The dim sum is the best that I had in Auckland so far !”
“Great service and delicious food. The layout is confusing and causes congestion as those wishing to pay block the entrance. It was quite busy when we went and the gentleman at front of house, seated us, took our order, delivered our meal and cleared the table. He did this both indoor and outdoor. It seemed he was doing the work of at least 3 people.”
“Delicious dishes especially some from local Dalian eg 三鲜焖子,stir fry cabbage, lamb, wasabi prawns, etc all very yummy. Being there a few times and still want to go.”
“This is a very nice restaurant to go too, the food was definitely top self, every course was served in time warm and well seasoned. We were well looked after by such welcoming amd friendly staf. We will definitely be coming back and with company.”
“Huge thanks to Nigel and his team for ensuring out Big BNI Secret Santa Breakfast was a success. From sharing their expert advice re organising the event for 80 peeps to accommodating the Christmas activities we wanted. The restaurant looked amazing, food was delicious, dietary requirements catered for, and great service - made us very welcome. Thanks Nigel, see you next year. Mariska”
“Breakfast meals were good. It’s a busy eatery so no real interaction with service just go in and be seated. You do need to go to the counter and order they are too busy to take table orders so don’t sit at your table waiting which I noticed a family do. Enjoyed the omelette and mango lassi. The menu has a lot of variety showcasing their Fijian meals. Servings and price was reasonable. Will go back to try their mains. Definitely try them out.”
“Had lunch here and it was very nice to sit in at a restaurant with exceptional service and great food! The portions were also generous, will definitely be back again.”
“Selected the tasting menu which was superb, the staff had a great knowledge of the plates they were serving, each course was a delight. Going with the tasting option gave us the opportunity to sample the dishes we wouldn't ordinarily select. Learnt some fantastic new palate and flavor mixes. The head chef visited us and personally grated the fresh Christchurch Truffle which was amazing. All in all we can't fault the experience. Pricey yes but well worth it. Sorry the food pictures don't do the meal justice.”
“I ordered bibimbap as a healthy meal. The combination of fresh vegetables, just like the ones I had in Korea, was well-balanced and neatly presented. The bulgogi was served separately, allowing me to fully enjoy its own flavor, which made the dining experience more enjoyable and enhanced my appetite. I would love to visit again.”
“Had a great lunch at Lone Star Manukau for my little sister’s birthday on Sunday! The food was delicious and well prepared, and Sophia’s service( this is the name I saw on my receipt, I hope its her) was absolutely fantastic, friendly, attentive, and made our visit even better. Highly recommend for a relaxed and enjoyable lunch experience!”
“Delicious meals and very good atmosphere! Highly recommended”
“Have not been to a Lone Star in ages. I feel it is the more expensive version of cobb and co. However, food and service was really good and loved the banoffee pie.”
“Lovely spacious restaurant in the heart of Botany Town Centre. The food was delicious, the mussels in white wine and garlic cream was so good. The pork belly was tender and the crackling cooked to perfection and the potato bake complimented the whole dish. The longhorn cheesecake was yummy with subtle flavors of kaluha and moro bar, very nice. A really enjoyable evening made even better by the polite and attentive staff. We would gladly dine here again.”
“What a great place, absolutely brilliant service. We felt absolutely welcome and genuinely enjoyed talking with the hosts. Very reasonable prices for the sandwiches for these days, and they were definitely put together with care for the food. The combinations and components made the food that much better.”
“Really tasty food, well balanced flavours. Love the ratio of meat, rice and salad. My partner doesn't eat salad so I happily had his share. So glad they had a pop up at Smales Farm but wished they could stay longer. The spaghetti and chicken was tasty too! Highly recommend the adobo, lechon and inasal.”
“The best place for breakfast & lunch on Waiheke Island! Lovely spot with few seats outside, offering stellar breakfasts with REAL french patisserie goods (only place we got a like-in-Paris croissant in weeks...), as well as yummy sandwiches & burgers around lunchtime. Prices significantly lower than rest of the island while the food is better here. We came back twice during our three day-stay on the island!”
“Had a great experience overall! The food was absolutely excellent—every course was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The crew was warm and attentive, and the ambience was really cool and inviting. A special shoutout to the bartender—absolutely amazing! The only downside was the wait time. Our three-course meal took over two hours, which felt a bit too long. That said, the quality and vibe made it worth the wait. Would still recommend, especially if you're not in a rush.”
“Great for classic Italian flavors and generous portions, the wood fire pizzas are fantastic! Great place to eat.Excellant staff and service.”
“Our month-long North Island campervan trip is coming to an end. We arrived in Auckland earlier than planned during our trip, and we hurriedly found a campsite. It looked like a vagrant's hostel, so we canceled our reservation. We were so shocked as to get out without thinking further. To think properly, we decided to grab a bite to eat at the first cafe we found, but it was closing time. We were eating our takeaway sandwiches on a bench outside, and the staff came out and handed a full bag of leftover doughnuts and bread from the day. They could have given them to another customers, but I think they gave them to us because we were on our way. The reason I mention this in my review is that I was impressed by their strict adherence to the same-day sales policy. The bread from our sandwiches at closing time was crispy and delicious, as if freshly baked. They could have sold the bread of still good quality the next day, but they'll bake tomorrow's bread the next day. Isn't that wonderful? As we were leaving, the staff, busy with cleanup, all waved cheerfully and said goodbye. My initial panic instantly calmed, and I felt at ease again. My husband said the cream donut was his thing, and even though he was already full from the sandwich, he ate it all up in no time. It's a shame I didn't get to try the coffee. I'll come back before I return to Korea to try the coffee and review it. (No photos taken in the bad mood)”
“After reading and hearing all the amazing feedback from the local community, I had to try a Burger and Chips. The Chicken Burger was Huge and full of Real ingredients, I went with the Chicken Aloha Burger. The seasoning was perfect, the flavor combinations with bacon and pineapple were exciting and filling! *Real Chicken lovely and Tender, the salad components all fresh and crispy. I couldn't finish all the chips myself, the aoli sauce just topped it all off well. Highly Recommend!! If your passing through Hellensville, pop in and try one of their meals. Delicious and Fresh !!”
“Our second time at Apero in ten days, and both times were terrific. The food is imaginative and beautifully presented. The service is so good - a really friendly host takes you through the menu and the wine list in a very charming way, and you feel very welcome, appreciated and well cared for. All the dishes were excellent, and especially good - the potato dauphine and the strawberry soufflé. Oh, and the very good bread and butter! That something so simple can be so well done just shows what a tip top kitchen is at work!”
“Paris Butter is an absolutely impeccable establishment. Easily a 10/10 experience. The staff were not only incredibly friendly but also impressively knowledgeable, making the evening feel special from start to finish. Even getting to pick my own knife for one of the dishes - a very special touch. Every dish was strikingly presented with precision and bursting with flavour. Highly recommend making Paris Butter a priority on your dining list, it’s an experience not to be missed.”
“This Mediterranean spot in town is top-notch! Customers love it for its great service, upbeat atmosphere, yummy food, and excellent customer care. Plus, they keep the toilets clean! We tried the Mediterranean chicken, bread, and dips, especially recommending Love in Sam's special dip. Give it a go!”
