The Sando was amazing, so filling as well!! Got a combo with coffee which was nice as well. The place is real cozy with great outdoor seating that’d be on for the summer

Second time at Young George and I’m dangerously close to becoming a regular if i stay in Auckland. Rolled in around noon, got greeted by the team. The vibe is friendly and casual with just the right amount of quirky: eclectic mugs with handwritten quotes (the handwriting is so on brand w/ the YG Stamp), and a retro TV with a PlayStation sitting there like it’s waiting for someone to challenge you to Tekken. I had the chicken katsu sando: crisp outside, juicy inside. My friend went for the pork sandwich, and that hit of ginger? YUMsss. We also grabbed a mocha espresso to go β€” not too overly sweet, just perfectly balanced. 10/10 would come back a third time just to see what mug wisdom I get next.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A cute little local grungy cafΓ© with real charm! Don’t let the modest exterior fool you β€” the coffee is top-notch, and the food is exceptional. The steak burger sandwich was to die for, and the chicken salad was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together. Super friendly service added to the experience. A real hidden gem β€” absolutely worth the food visit!

What a great place, absolutely brilliant service. We felt absolutely welcome and genuinely enjoyed talking with the hosts. Very reasonable prices for the sandwiches for these days, and they were definitely put together with care for the food. The combinations and components made the food that much better.

Toasties was ok. Chili chicken is better Coffee…. Was a disappointment, I guess the photos speak for itself. I think there’s a change to management. Menu is totally different.

Visiting Young George for the first time. Tried their Pork Sandos and it was yumm yumm! Do try it with the hot sauce.

This is a true hidden gem in Auckland. Located in a secluded area in Mt Albert, you don't think of much when you look at it from the outside but it adds to the charm of the place. Once you order and the food arrives, you'll already be impressed with the way it's presented. And when you take a bite, that's when you're completely blown away. You have to taste it to know what I'm talking about. I always go to eat a sando, end up adding one more. 110% recommended.

Firstly, staff here are so friendly and attentive. Really makes the whole experience better then just food. Next, the food! This place doesn’t just have the best Sando (Japanese sandwiches) in Auckland it has the best sandwiches in Auckland full stop. The Sando bread is beautifully soft with a nice crust. The katsu and smash patties is so tender and juicy (not oily at all). The flavouring profile is so spot on you can really taste every detail they have put in the Sando. One more thing. Their lattΓ© art is WOW. Really shows you how much pride they take to make sure every little detail counts. They can get quite busy at times so can be a little bit of wait. But trust me. It is soooooo worth it. Can’t wait to visit again!
