If I could pay to have my time & effort that I spent on this restaurant back, I would do so. It took them around 20-25 minutes to take our order and another few for us to get the food. On top of it all, the chips was SOAKED in oil that I almost returned it back. The chicken curry was a cheap butter chicken replica. Would not recommend. Was really looking forward to eating in this branch, was it was a massive let down :/

This cafe is called The Beach Cafe, not Meadow which was its previous name. The quiche I had for lunch was delicious but very expensive and it didn't come with any salad. There was no relish either but I was asked if I wanted some and it was brought to me. There were no prices on the large blackboard or on the cabinet which I didn't like at all. I doubt I will make a return visit.

I was there this afternoon for a quick coffee, but the friendly manager convinced me to have a snack/meal too, seeing as I was clearly eyeing the cabinet food! When I said the meals on the menu looked too big, she offered to make me a half portion, which was very thoughtful. The half portion was not only generous (it looked like a full portion) but also delicious. It was the chicken salad on the lunch menu. Fresh, and well made. The manager also offered me some honey to add to my ginger tea - She could tell my voice was hoarse and throat hurting. I really enjoyed the personalised, warm service. I was also given the wifi password without asking - I'm not sure what else I could ask for in terms of service and food quality! I've always been here for desserts after dinner (I LOVE their cabinet sweets) but this was my first lunch visit and and it was really fulfilling. Definitely coming back here! Cheers

Loved coming here, the coffee was excellent, the chicken burger was extremely tasty and well portioned, the pan fried fish was exquisite, really nicely cooked, and the cocktails were perfect. The desserts look great and taste even better! Awesome service too. Definitely coming back here again!

Beautiful flat white. A stone through away to the stunning St Heliers beach and village. Plenty of parking around.

Went in there today for coffee and a breakfast. I was told to find a table upstairs, waited 20 minutes for anyone to bother to take my order, and when the food arrived there wasn't a smile or a word said. My coffee hadn't even arrived when I had finished and was ready to go. Recommend avoiding the eggs Benedict - had what looked like last weeks rocket salad spread over it (yes really!). I've eaten at Meadow on St Johns Road dozens of times, so was really looking forward to trying this new outlet. I couldn't have been let down more.

Lovely food, served quickly. Overall was let down by substandard service. Would be an easy 4+ stars overall, but we were left waiting 15 minutes before a drinks order was taken after quickly been shown to a table. We were 1 minute from leaving. And then service was uneven through the rest of the evening, with us having to get staff attention to take orders. Clearly a couple of servers short the evening we were there and would have been well served by acknowledging that when we arrived so expectations could be set. A wide selection of offer, although another salad offering would be good. Once ordered the meals were brought out quickly, were well presented and the pizza was excellent. Loved the side salad too. Recommend the mousse for desert. Generous portions. Reasonably priced. Looking forward to the new glendowie meadow when itβs open, hopefully they can sort out the uneven service.

Dropped into your new restaurant for brunch today. I had a big breakfast and my partner had your Asian salad. The meals were nice and very general but it didn't wow me. My partner rated hers at a 3.5 on Google's scale. Given the competition around your location currently with the same menu base. I would make the comment your team have some catching up to do. The ingredients were good with loads of potential. However they needed some love. The balance was off with the dressing in the salad, vinegar took over and knocked out all the good stuff you had in it. Your cabinet food looked delicious but we didn't try any, or take any away because I wasn't wowed with my lunch choice. Your place is a good place to have a lunch meeting over some food and a drink. I will be back to try some other dishes because your dinner dishes sounded better than average. However your food team needs to understand food love. If you need a measure walk around the corner and have a big breakfast or a salad at La Vista.I am sure you will agree with me. I look forward to seeing your offering develop once your team gets into the groove.
