“I love this store! They really look after their customers and go the extra mile for you. You also get the best greetings when you enter the store especially from their lil fur baby Mia. All my fish and live plants are from this store, and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. The best local pet store, and definetly worth the visit as they have all sorts of healthy and thriving animals. Their knowledge is so extensive that they've helped me alot with my fish keeping journey. Highly recommend this place!”

“Very good place for all your pet needs. We bought our cat Rodney a cat barrel tower that was a $60.00 saving which was pretty good. We also buy our wet cat food from here if it is on offer. Staff are usually pretty friendly and cheerful”

“Great store, huge variety at good pricing with friendly helpful service. Just bought an office chair. We've had one of theirs for a while and they are great chairs. Hence being a repeat customer. There are a variety of different styles to suit different body shapes with a variety of price levels. All with adjustable just about everything and optional aspects, like head rests. I can't go past the lumbar support and durability. Thanks Lower Hutt branch!”

“The staff are very accommodating and friendly. We boarded our cat here for a week, and it seems like our cat loved the place and the staff. The cat boarding rooms are very spacious and the cats have plenty of space to go around. You can also have a special request if you want to have your cat roam outside of their room for a few hours a day and play with the toys around the boarding area or with the other cats.”

“5 star review for the lovely young Pasifika woman (apologies I didn't catch her name but wanted to make sure she was identified) who assisted me on the 25th of June around approx 5/6pm with my dehumidifier. I brought in my dehumidifier (almost at 2 years old) due to electrical faults and concerns, wanting to check my warranty and if I could get some help. Initially I was assisted by an older lady who misunderstood my request thinking I was after a return/refund, after I had specifically asked for some help with my machine that had sparked when I plugged in & was wanting to know if it was still under warrant and/or if someone could help fix it. She then proceeded to tell me I needed a receipt even after I showed my online contact with Mitre 10 noting the staff could call the shipping store upon arrival to assist and get the receipt details as it was an online order, but she told me to ring the store myself. As I went outside to grab the machine from my car & brought it back in with my daughter, I hear the woman telling the young lady I was after a refund/return which was in fact untrue, I quickly corrected her and this is where the young lady came in and helped me out. As I purchased online there was no physical copy but she was super helpful as I showed her the email contact with Mitre 10 & online details i could provide, The young lady got the initial staff member to call up the shipping store and was just super helpful and sorted it out fast and efficient. Great customer service, attentive, listened to what I needed and I was able to get a replacement as I was still within my 2 year warranty. The difference in service was visible & I think shes a great example of perfect customer service. Thank you very much to this young lady- approachable, super helpful and super happy with the outcome.”

Our 3 year old had an accident at Bunnings Petone on the weekend and the staff were so incredible - knew the process,everyone helped accordingly and followed up with a phone call later that day and a gift sent via post. Because they have staff that are abundant , available , friendly helpful & kind ... The specials are often far better value than the others . The policy of refund & replacement is seldom called upon but when it is the result is immediate which insures customer satisfaction . The wheelchair one may borrow suits this old biker who enjoys visiting his friends that are friends”

“Animals are well taken care of and healthy. Workers are proactively helpful and understand the animals in their shop. I've purchased everything from aquariums and axolotls to guinea pigs there and each person understands and advises the owner correctly. I've even seen a denial of sale with a worker concerned over the health and wellbeing of an animal there. Highly recommended. “I initially stumbled across Felix n Fido from a Dog Breeders recommendations and can definitely say I'm happy for this suggestion. I have bought all my dogs toys, bowls, etc from Felix n Fido. When comparing prices with the larger well known stores, the FnF prices were 90% of the time, significantly lower; the other 10% of the time they were lower or line ball. Being a local, family run business, I'd much rather support FnF than the larger companies who would more than likely have some significant buying power from their suppliers which SHOULD decrease the item cost but choose not to pass those savings on to the customer. In the past I was after a specific product from 'Aussie Dog', FnF at the time didn't stock this brand however were keen to help out, just 5 days later FnF had contacted their suppliers and my desired product was available for pickup! From organising the product, shipping from AUS to NZ available in 5 days, needless to say I was very happy with the service, and still am to this day!”

“Our recently adopted dog has separation and socialisation issues and had Jo at a home visit to provide her advice and knowledge. The visit was definitely beneficial over and above what we'd been trying to reading online. Our dog is now also attending their daycare which is working out well, he comes home happy and tired. After a very nervous arrival for his first visit, he was excited to arrive on his second visit. Note that this review was written after 2 visits to the daycare.”
