   How great to find a pet shop that actually sells pets. Really nice place worth traveling to go and see, the guys working there were really nice. Animals looked happy and healthy.

   I brought two mini lop bunnies from kapiti kritters. They didn’t tell me any information on the bunnies didn’t even tell me the kind of breed they were, sex or age which is quite concerning since that is very crucial information, they did not specify what food I needed or anything else I had done a lot of research before hand but I felt they should be informing people who come in to buy these animals. I have gotten fish from animates before and they have always informed me on the preparation and the care they need. Which kapiti kritters did not. I just feel I needed to speak about this so hopefully your team can get some help to understand your animals. I am here to edit my review after your rude response back. I was handed my mini lops in a box with no information or instructions on them I had to ask myself what food I need your staff then just pointed to a container of food that is not suitable for the bunnies. I had to then ring later on in the day to ask what sex and age they were then you guys stated you don’t know the sex and wasn’t sure on the age. I did not mention anything about me knowing bunnies to your staff so the whole “expertise” thing is an absolute joke and so unprofessional from your behalf. “I don’t think that’s true” is also not very professional either I don’t think id go out of my way to write something to show my concern for the animals if it wasn’t true? I am not the type to send reviews but I felt I needed too since your staff just handed over the bunnies without knowledge on them and thought maybe you should do some more training. Your rude reply has made me second guess the treatment on your animals. In another one of your reviews someone mentioned the birds and how they are kept in small cages with about 5+ birds in one cage and also someone else had stated there is zero enchantment for the animals in the store which they are both completely correct on. If you knew and loved animals you would make sure they are well cared for cause just food and water is not enough for some animals. Do better kapiti kritters I hope you can respond to this a little more professional since I’m quite concerned for the animals that are in your care.

   Lost my pet lovebird recently and the one she's left behind hasn't been eating or drinking, he's a trained sweetheart and could never bully anyone who isn't threatening him, the lady in office told me I couldn't buy one lovebird because they're sold in pairs so I asked for a pair and she said that couldn't happen either because the two will bully one, so I asked for a budgie which was fine at first but after a stupid Google search apparently it's "definitely not okay" but actually it should be fine in all cases since he's trained to not bite or bully any other birds

The store itself was well-stocked with everything I needed to take my new puppy home, from high-quality food and toys to essential supplies like a bed and leash. It was a one-stop shop for all my puppy's needs! I frequently go back to Kapiti Kritters, and my puppy is always welcomed with open arms. She absolutely loves the wide range of treats available, especially the pup cakes that are made in-store. It's clear that the staff genuinely care about the well-being of the pets and their owners.    Animals are well taken care of and healthy. Workers are proactively helpful and understand the animals in their shop. I've purchased everything from aquariums and axolotls to guinea pigs there and each person understands and advises the owner correctly. I've even seen a denial of sale with a worker concerned over the health and wellbeing of an animal there. Highly recommended. (Photos are of animals in my home that have come from here, not the store itself)

   Always a lovely place to visit whenever we are at Kapiti and very knowledgeable staff. There isn’t many pet shop these days with much live stock so this is a gem itself. On our latest visit we ended up getting a new addition to our family!

   We love this pet store. Super friendly staff. You're not overwhelmed with junky toys and single use pet items. Just top quality products. Their range of training treats is my favorite thing. It looks like a high end candy display case but its yum looking snacks for your four legged buddy. Your pets will appreciate you getting them better quality stuff and you accountant wont give you that look because the prices at Kapiti Kritters are great. Thanks again guys.
