I had a pretty disappointing experience at the pet store. They told me to get a 70-litre tank for the fish, so I did. But then they asked me a bunch of questions about the water and wanted a sample. After I brought it in, they said I needed to add some chemicals and wait a few weeks. It would've been great if they'd given me all the info upfront. Felt like a lot of wasted time and money. Might take my business elsewhere.
I've gone here a couple of times abd also mmy husband and were always talked too very rudely. My husband asked if they sold flea shampoo and they were very rude and sarcastic then I kindly asked if they sold soap fir digs as it was the weekend and my vet wasn't open and she talked to me like I was dumb saying to go to my vet but it was closed and thought they may sell it. Ill never go back after 2 bad experiences myself and also my husband.
Such a fantastic team there. Always really happy to help, very knowledgeable and always exceeding my expectations! Shout them a feed for their excellent customer service!
Great customer service and products. The sales and member benefits are appreciated. Would be 5 stars but regular prices are expensive compared to competitors.
Friendly staff with a great selection of products. However, it would be great if there was more staff on the floor to help customers out. I spent ages trying to find the right shampoo for my dog.
Animates have a good range of stuff but it's pretty expensive. Staff are generally really helpful. I think their loyalty programme was much more rewarding in previous times

As all Animates are, this shop is well set out, and it's pretty easy to find where the section is that you're looking for. There is a good selection of tank plants and fish, but I could wish for someone with better knowledge of wet pets to help with my knowledge gaps. Still, the discussion had was of value. Not the same range of tank bulbs as the Palmerston North shop, and they did not have the one I was actually looking for (which I can get at Palmerston North), but I got a UV bulb which my Terrapin is loving, so it was a good visit.
